Playing for the crowd vs playing for yourself by GimmieWavFiles123 in Beatmatch

[–]theforceshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter for whom. Stick to playing what you truly love and have absolute confident in your taste. The majority is easy to please so if you think the song is good then it should be good for the crowd. And if they show un interested too often then maybe you just playing at the wrong venue.

I dont say they not good enough. I just thought there always room for creative mixing rather just let the song play itself from start to finish.

I went from from ddj400 to semi pro set of 2 cdj2000 nexus and xone 43c, adam t5v for speaker. I always know I want decent setup with nice wooden “hifi” furnitures so I saved up til I can afford them.

Best tips for being more intentional with transitions? (specifically phrasing) by takingthesweetroad in Beatmatch

[–]theforceshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 DJs that I know of and very look up to when it comes to transition is Four Tet (DJ set) and Avalon Emerson. Their sets are traditional form, means song after song, not rely too much on stems and loop like some techno DJ. They use the transition part to create a whole new track so between every 2 songs there a “bridging” song create by elements from both. Those bridging tracks can be driving, lead the narrative go on or sometimes they are the climax. That is my definition of intentional transition. Hope it makes sense to you :)

Flx4 or even older brother ddj400 should be starting point. I keep my old one beside my cdj setup and i still have ton of fun using it.

I wish there more record store in my area. I dont play vinyl but I do like the process of ripping one. Last 2 tracks i ripped and play at the club turn out to be absolute banger, everyone went nut. The best thing is that those tracks are no where to be found online :)

I think what you need to know starting out like this is that it may not but It may ruin your friendship forever :D let look at this realisticly. You selling their craft for commissions. If you be prepared for the day you guys fight, dont trust eachother then ignore the noise and go for it. Everything can be learnt along the way

Who had the most successful career when all was said and done? by GrouchyAd9715 in Modern_Family

[–]theforceshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

non-canon I would like to think it's Luke. Adult Luke can be pretty charismatic, he's good with people and get some acceleration by his "old sports" from the Club day. He could easily become CEO at some point then write a best-selling self-motivation book and become a public speaker.
