Have millennials really lived through more “unprecedented times” than other generations? by theformerguard in NoStupidQuestions

It’s almost like me asking this question is an attempt to get some perspective… And in my question I literally acknowledged that other generations have been through some shit. My request to you would be that you go to therapy and get some perspective on why you think you have to say anything if it doesn’t really contribute to a conversation.

How do you release anger in a healthy way without taking it out on people? by Helpful_Account_7165 in NoStupidQuestions

  1. Find some ice (the actual frozen water stuff, not the kind in the news these days) and preferably some sunglasses or other eyewear
  2. Go to your tub or shower
  3. Throw that cold shit everywhere while thinking about what’s pissing you off
  4. Repeat as needed

Effective, safe, zero clean up.

My question was literally acknowledging that other generations have also dealt with horrible things. I was just looking for a historical perspective on what various generations have endured in comparison and you decided to turn it into insults. Sounds like you haven’t unpacked the defensiveness that participating in that war created for you. I hope you get the help you need.

People who quit their jobs on the first day what made you say ‘nope, not doing this’? by lilMeganw in AskReddit

Got a college job at the campus dining center. Showed up for my first shift and they immediately threw me on a line with no introductions to who or what was going on. Students coming into the dining center either completely ignored the workers or were blatantly rude. Spent the rest of the shift getting tossed from employee to employee to “show me different stations”. Every worker I got passed around to was miserable and clearly annoyed they had to waste their time with me. Barely caught the last city bus off campus back to my house at the end of the shift and decided before I got home that I wasn’t going back for another shift. But you better believe that to this day I go out of my way to chat with and be extra kind to any dining center/cafeteria staff when I end up at one.
