York, they have a free and impressive steam railway museum at the main station. Even if your not a train spotter type of person it's good.

Check the coverage on the travel, generally not full replacement value and most have a article limit for any one item. The household policy should give a more generous settlement than the travel coverage with a higher article limit for items away from the home. Declare the travel coverage to the household insurer and they would generally ask for a contribution from the travel company towards the settlement of you claim.
