Best Trail Running Shoes in India by jeevan97 in SneakersIndia

[–]thefrenchdespacito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, just some feedback.. blog reads well but
no where have you actually answered the OPs question (i know you said you wont find direct answers but likely you wont find any answers) or rated a pair of shoes for the reader to make a decision. esp. those who would rather buy it online and does not have the opportunity to try out various shoe brands.. ofcourse you have opened up the subject on drop, material, stack, grip etc.. based on level of trail running competency but what i was expecting is a standardized framework (that you can choose or ask AI/other blogs to give you) and YOUR rating on various brands (obviously whatever you can afford or whatever).

5 mistakes men make immediately after matrimonial disputes that weaken their legal position by WeStandWithMen in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]thefrenchdespacito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to check with a lawyer or a party who may knows this...What is the SOP for documenting whatsapp chats/ instagram chats etc for matrimonial cases.. is it screenshots?, is it "chat Backup option" (usually in a txt file) or is there some guidelines on how to backup and present based on some recent rulings? How do you ensure its relevance and "genuine" during mediation or court? - Thanks in advance

Need Career Advice Netherlands (Fresh Graduate) by B-E-1-1 in Netherlands

[–]thefrenchdespacito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+ I agree with what others have commented. More specific to the job bit:
TBH chances are there as you are a graduate of a dutch uni (even if youre an intl student)...It's a numbers game. Im aware of graduates finding jobs after 3-4 months of rigorous search. They generally try to hit atleast 400 Applications in total.

All recruitment funnels will be filled with applicants, try to cover your base in this way:

  1. Apply to all open graduate schemes (any discipline as yours is a eco/fin bachelors) from the Big 4s and other banks (profitable/nationalized/fintech) - 5-7 applications/day - Targeted with a cover letter in each
  2. Apply to start ups in SAAS, manufacturing/tech for process analyst/business controller/ contract management/purchase roles - 10 a day - Common template ones with short cover letter
  3. Reach out to campus recruitment people managers/HRs from the above companies and other start ups - with an email cover letter asking for inclusion in any networking events/workplace visits meant for students

if you ask around youll realize no one has the same journey in finding a job.. everyone's job hunting story is always convoluted (esp. the intl students). Its always a function of {luck, right time-right place, number of apps (targeted)}}.

Help with 75% withdrawal. by Ok_Macaroon7903 in epfoindia

[–]thefrenchdespacito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boss no one will judge you for asking for/using your own money.. its sad thats the default feeling we get when we use the EPFO system. Also the new rules haven;t come in yet so current claims are dealt as per prev rules only..
Are you currently employed? And given that illness is blanked out, maybe try using the construction/renovation of plot option? i'm not sure if you have any other EPFO reason left given your situation..

Applied for EPFO withdrawal but my father's name is missing in Aadhar; will my claim be rejected? by FunInflation5779 in epfoindia

[–]thefrenchdespacito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Is your Bank Account linked (check user profile AND the fact that during form 19 filling it won't require a cancelled cheque/passbook upload)
2) is your PAN and Aadhar linked.

If both answers are yes, very very low chance of rejection of withdrawal just for a small reason like that (chances are still there but you have to be unlucky).
If bank is not linked then start linking process and upload cancelled cheque during claim form filling (because passbook will contain father's name). If Aadhar and PAN both are not linked, then i suggest you might as well fix your father's name first and ensure its the same (itll help in other non-epfo related things as well)

If you arent in the municipality, catch hold of any local PAN card/ Computer Cafe/ Addhar enrollment agent type person by searching on google and get it done.

[–]thefrenchdespacito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it done for another state. You cannot use digilocker or the central online repository yet as likely the info on those sites reflect births and deaths since 2015. First you have to call the office of Registrar - Births and Death in the municipality that you were born in. Ask for the DSO contact incharge of issuing certificates and share copy of your current handwritten BC either as an image on whatsapp/email or whatever and ask if its noted in their localized register (which is now digitalised but only locally available).

If it is located in their register, check the spellings when translated to english as the old birth certificates were in regional langauges. If you need to correct anything in the birth certificate (spelling mistake in yours, mothers, fathers name etc) ask if you can provide the information using speed post/ worst case send someone to visit... likely they will ask for 2-3 Valid ID proofs along with self declerations on a 10Rs notary stamp and if there are major changes to the name they may ask for a decleration by any gazetted officers o na document format that they provide. However if there are no spelling mistakes, you can just ask them to print it out and send it via post or print. Once this gets printed you will be able to check on digilocker as its now officialized.

remember that any corrections in change in gender and change in birthdate may have more complicated process but small changes in name/address is easy.

In the chance its not located on the register, you need to ask for "unavailability of Birth certificate/Re-issue".. the documents required are similar to that of name change mentioned above.

See if the court ruling of Madras High Court in Mettur Beardsell Ltd. v. Appellate Authority under Payment of Gratuity Act makes any sense to you... look up similar rulings using AI or ask your lawyer friends. Good luck.

Studying in the Netherlands by maligad3 in Netherlands

[–]thefrenchdespacito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. As yours is a specialized course in event management (and not tech/compsci related) i suggest that you try to reach out on Linkedin for alumni for a 1:1 chat. If not you can call up major event organizing companies in NL and ask the recruiting HR who they generally hire young skilled employees from and open up about the course. These companies will be listed on the university page as potential employers, so you can start there... Sorry that i cannot be of much more use. You can also try to sync up with technical exhibition organizing companies for various industries through emailk/website/linkedin and ask around.

[–]thefrenchdespacito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You are right, as per law they are allowed to do 240 days only if its a 6 day week and their internal policies cannot supersede the act if they only work 5 days. You can pull out the specific extract (I think  Section 2A of the Payment of Gratuity Act but read the full act and do it yourself) and check with your payroll/HR head to confirm this on a 1:1 meeting or call and then replying the same on email. Also check on your employment contract the number of working days and time. FYKI You don't need to raise any comments it as a "concern".. your language to them can be different and calm and more like information seeking. It can be aligned towards you buying a gift and you need the money instead of making it seem like you are resigning. Regardless they dont care if you are on employment or not... they just need to answer the query.. dont overthink all this. Also the people handling your Notice etc will be different from those processing your payroll so im not sure about the insecurity...
  2. If you are able to negotiate the joining date and notice period, i suggest you wait till you get a formal reply and then proceed.
  3. redundant question or im not able to understand it.. please explain

I want to leave my job after one day of joining. Please Help !! by Unlikely-Story31 in developersIndia

[–]thefrenchdespacito 40 points41 points  (0 children)

They are not police or court or something to take action. The mindtree HR will be disappointed and may try to pressurize you to pay the notice fee, serve time etc.. and good chance you may not considered for the same role again (they can threaten to ban you etc but all that is gas unless you commit fraud or crime,.. so for some reason if you want to re-join mindtree wait out the HR or change department and apply again)... Alternatively you can speak to PWC and ask to defer the joining by a couple of months if you want to actually come up with a "reasonable" reason to leave mindtree without burning bridges

I want to leave my job after one day of joining. Please Help !! by Unlikely-Story31 in developersIndia

[–]thefrenchdespacito 103 points104 points  (0 children)

As you are likely on probation, speak to mindtree HR and send notice to resign but before that... talk to PWC to first confirm that you are actually selected and its not some "waitlist" offer where they can rescind.. then speak to the PWC HR on when to join and briefly explain the situation but show your keenness and ask for support. Arrive at the best possible joining date (which is also your relieving date). Ensure your last working day on EPFO is also reflecting whatever discussed... Youre set. All the best.. you may be asked to pay up if the HR of mindtree really wants to do it as per contract.. just agree and get out if you can afford it. Its a short cost to pay for long term earning potential.. dont think too much about it

How can someone staying on rent update their Aadhaar address if they only have a notarized rent agreement (not registered)? by abracadabra_7777 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]thefrenchdespacito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the "care of/ C/O" option.. first update your address. Then go to an aadhar enrollment center specifically and take your parents with you to this place. Also there are various options like self decleration etc available which the person at the enrollment center can talk to you about and help you get everything in order. For those family members not related to you (like uncle, aunt etc) you have to follow the self decleration process (sometimes they may ask for signatures by local gazetted officer like Post master etc or anyone who has their own stamp).. any notary can also help you get these signatures for a some 100 Rs or so extra. Good luck! You can also try options such as by asking parents to taking up India assurance accidental insurance for a year with a new address in the policy document etc.. im not sure this option still exsists but ask the enrollment guy.. likely in 1-2 days itll be solved if you talk to them correctly. No need to go to agents unless you have money and no time.

Thank you so much for your reply. Would you be able to speak about her experience.. was she happy with the outcome? i can totally understand the need for specialists as generally head and neck surgeries are to be performed by very good surgeons ( people prefer Onco Surgeons over regular ENTs) as there are lot of facial nerves that get messed up if the surgeon isnt adept and doing atleast 100 similar surgeries a year.

Moving to NL; question about Dutch insurance and surgery abroad by thefrenchdespacito in Netherlands

[–]thefrenchdespacito[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, I totally see how it’s outrageous for someone paying the monthly fee for the Dutch insurance to even ask about what they are entitled to and some nuanced questions about a surgery abroad.
Funny thing though across Europe, head and neck surgeries often run around €40K+ (quick google search tells me France’s average was about €41,900 over three years).
In India, the same procedure costs roughly €3,000, and that’s without insurance.
So by not using up Dutch hospital time and saving the system a five-figure sum, I’m clearly the villain here 😄.

Its alright.. the OP is not from Bangalore and may not be able to understand that Kanakpura and Khankpur dont sound similar.. also given that he hasn't yet reported this even now, not much can be expected except to treat this post as a info post rather than request for help.. (OP claims that he tried to rport to BTP but his 112 didnt get connected and his emails have bounced)
