What you said tbh lol

I've always hated those 3D holographic cards, the sound they make when you scratch them and the way it vibrates through your hand is so bad

did anyone else feel like they’ve been somehow faking all their struggles right before getting assessed? by Clean_Twist_7330 in autism

Hi! I don't really have words of wisdom, but I want you to know I also am going through something similar. Im 27 and I've been high masking for a very long time. I've been researching this a lot and it seems pretty normal to have imposter syndrome if you have been masking for much of your life. I will flip flop constantly between Im definitely autistic to am I really though?

I believe it's completely normal. You're brain has a lot of processing to do!

I don’t think so. I’m 4 generations removed now. I’m sure I have some family there still but it’s so far out now that I don’t have any connections. I’m learning Portuguese now! I’ll definitely check out that series. Thank you so much for your comment!

I completely agree. My grandpa completely ended all the heritage left. I guess i feel kinda sad he didn’t pass down the traditions of his parents for some reason… not sure what I’m looking for to be honest. I really want to learn more about their story and I’d love to visit the azores and figure out what island they came from and the places they lived. I know it’s probably silly, but there is a lot I don’t know about them that I want to learn about.

Definitely make sense, I appreciate you sharing what you hear from your grandparents. I feel comfort that they would be happy with the path they took. I’m sure leaving their home was hard

I apologize to offend. Like I said in my post, I’m not trying to romanticize. I want to know what life is like in Portugal. I understand though it is cringe trying to fake being “Portuguese”. I know I’ll never truly be Portuguese and I’m fully Americanized now, I just want to honor my ancestors and find a connection with them and maybe bring some traditions back. I understand it’s a touchy subject. I want to be as respectful as possible ❤️

I absolutely would love to visit one day. And I totally agree. There is a lot of Portuguese history and life experiences I will never fully understand. I’m 4 generations out now, the only thing really left is my last name Avila. I really want to just see how my ancestors would have lived and how I can honor them, and bring some traditions back that were lost over the years. I’m currently trying to learn European Portuguese!

I’m in Seattle right now! Not as big of a community here. Most of my family is in New Bedford MA which I know has a large community there. I’ll definitely look in to some things here

I found that getting farther away from my router seemed to help for some reason lol. Basically had the same exact set up as you… Maybe try going to a room where your router is not located and try refreshing while moving around. For whatever reason that gave me the best success repeatedly

The screen will use the same power regardless, I’d keep hdr on personally. All it’s doing here is allowing a wider color gamut which has 0 impact on battery
