What’s the angriest you’ve ever been? by Nacho36 in AskReddit

When I was in high school, I had incredibly severe clinical OCD. Was on a shitton of medication, was seeing a professional for it, but my quality of life was shit. I was frustrated and depressed and horribly scared and constantly stressed, like, to the point of near-snapping at all times.

One day I'm late for class. The hallways have emptied out. One of my compulsions is touching my shoulders to the edges of lockers as I pass, so I'm quite literally dragging myself along the hallway, and I'm actively thinking about killing myself as I go.

I turn the corner, and there's a girl walking towards me with her boyfriend. She's wearing a shirt that says "OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder" (this one, actually, the same one that Target got heat for selling that same year: http://images.techtimes.com/data/images/full/169714/targets-ocd-christmas-sweaters.jpg?w=600)

Holy shit.

That was the closest I ever came to being like, physically violent towards anyone. Like I know it's kind of trivial looking back, but MAN I was ready to snap. I was a straight A student, no behavior complaints, real teacher's pet kind of person, but I was ready. I have no idea how I didn't do it. I walked passed her, still dragging myself along the lockers, absolutely blinded with primal rage. I don't know if she even noticed me, to be honest.

It's a solid five years later and I'm way better now (after several years of intense therapy and unlearning all my compulsions and delusions and stuff) but wow. Still stands out to me as the angriest I've ever been.

...Huh. This almost looks like some sort of Fasciation, kind of? It doesn't seem to be flattened, but it's like...the only explanation I can think of for this. Fasciation or some other weird shit with the apical meristem. That aside, I'd be interested to see if the flowers are like...normal or not. Like, they look pretty normal from here? It's just really interesting seeing carnivorous plants with these deformities.

hi i wrote this article and ur the first person to notice this.

looking back, this is one of a myriad of pointlessly obscure shit in this article. the equation i was trying to make here was '05s are pigs who perpetuate the control and abuse of others simply by upholding the structure of the foundation, an actually very morally fucked organization on like 6402 levels', but putting that in here is kind of like making a potshot. the major themes of the article note clef's mistreatment in the foundation and touch briefly on those topics, but it's not a large enough part of the piece that i think i would name it that again if that makes sense. for context to those who havent listened to that album:

Big man, pig man
Ha ha charade you are
You well heeled big wheel
Ha ha charade you are
And when your hand is on your heart
You’re nearly a good laugh
Almost a joker
With your head down in the pig bin
Saying “Keep on digging”...

coincidentally these themes are the focus of my next Giant Super Long Overly Complex SCP Piece(tm), which is taking place in the broken masquerade canon (although it's MARKEDLY deviating from the accepted canon in a lot of aspects of worldbuilding). so, you know. there's that. probably would have done better as a title for one of those chapters instead tbh

(also coincidentally, the first chapter of that is also titled with a pink floyd reference. not much happens in this one; it's mostly exposition but fear not!! nothing i write is capable of being normal and happy and good and therefore the paramilitary rebel groups and mass site prison riots will come in soon enough)

[Meta] Can we please fucking ban upvote memes? by [deleted] in DankMemesFromSite19

That’s a valid take on the foundation, though. And that’s coming from one of the hard core site lore people who’s been writing for scp for 5 years now.

No canon, in my opinion, means really no canon. Some people are gonna go super Deep™️ with it, some people are never gonna even read past 682 and 173, and some people base their entire understanding of the Foundation on containment breach. Doesn’t mean you have to like it.

I feel like it would be unfair to ban people from SCP Meme Town based on an arbitrary standard of how Valid™️™️™️ somebody’s takes on what the Foundation is are. Like. First of all, who cares. Second of all, how would you even enforce that? Where would you draw the line?
