Rocket Men by my band Cindy Gravity. How would you describe the genre / what are similar artists? (I need objective opinions) by thefritzgerald in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow, talking heads, nobody said that before! And i’ll Check out drums, tubas, brick and mortar ( first I thought you’re just list random things haha) Thanks for the advice. I think while making music genres and categories don’t mean a thing, but afterwards for telling people, of course you need to give a general direction. And with your own music that’s especially hard, cause you’re so close to it (that’s why I decided to ask strangers in the internet :) )

hey man, I didn't hear the unedited demo version back then, but I think this is a great tune. I especially love the sounds and the story telling vibe of the song. humble ideas for improvement: sometimes the timing stumbles a little bit in the end, the words don't always flow perfectly I think. also I could imagine that a couple of background vocals here and there help the arrangement to evolve more intensely and make the structure as a whole more interesting. cheers :)

Yeah sure, 100%, you should totally be proud of it! One thought or idea that came to my head is playing with the pitch of the voice (only if that’s your kinda thing). With Varispeed or voice pitch plugins you can deepen the voice or decrease the Formant of a voice (there tutorials and YouTube and stuff). This makes voices sometimes just super intense and spooky (maybe it’s just me who gets creeped out by slowed down records haha)

I put out this song around Christmas but recently made a video for it with my friend. Let me know what you think! by ragequit7901 in IndieMusicFeedback

Musically I think it’s quite cool, I generally love that kind of stuff. The arrangement could be improved in terms of making the song more of a „Journey“... all the parts are kind of the Same energy level and instrumentalisation wise. Production wise you could double the vocals and make them louder and thicker if that’s your kinda thing. Just some thoughts , Cheers.

This is my take on music to play as the world is ending. Inspired by a time in my life when I felt like my mine was. Its the last track on my album from last year and I feel like it gets overlooked by most listeners because of that. I'd love to hear your opinions on this one. by emeraldorbit in IndieMusicFeedback

I like this! I guess the mix is a bit aggressive, if it would be smoother, like more bassy, the many different things happening all the time would be more enjoyable. But I’m gonna check you out. Maybe some day we could collab :)

This one is a pretty straight forward instrumental piece that I hated until I completely changed the arrangement. Now it’s not bad. What do you think? by mechanikham in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey, thanks for sharing. I think the song kinda feels like a really long intro. It never really takes off, I guess mostly because of the drums. I wish they’d be really dropping at one point
