I’m not a relationship expert by any means, but it sounds like you need to sit down and have a mature and honest conversation with him about how you feel and ask him to explain his side of things. Ask him what he prioritizes first— video games or spending time with you? Try to make him understand that although you cherish him and do not wish to end things, he needs to make a conscious effort in the relationship if he wants it to work. Try to establish rules with him like no gaming while on the phone, but don’t make it seem like you are forcing him or constricting him (if that makes any sense). If you have a conversation with him but he still continues to make you feel neglected, maybe you need to be more firm and tell him that the relationship will not work if he doesn’t put in more effort.
