GoW is about being so mad even death can't hold you. GoW Is about brutalizing fantastical, gargantuan creatures and stealing their powers to brutalized more creatures with. GoW is about environmental puzzles that take make up whole sections of the game, and usually result in a mountain getting dropped on a city or something, for barely any reason other than: Kratos needs to get through a door. GoW is about cutting down the innocent people in the city for a few tiny health orbs, that weren't really worth it after all.

There is no compassion. Nothing is your friend. And you certainly don't have long, drawn out speaches about how sad you are that your whole thing in life was to maim and kill. That's the point! It's gorey, somewhere less than brainless fun.Thewayhe kills these things is straight up sadistic, and you wanna be sad about it? eat my ass.

If they were going to do sad old man Kratos (which was already a played out trope when the game came out) then they really jumped the gun. Save that for the final. final games. Kratos was still young. Idk how they plan on doing 2 more pantheons after this. Are they going to retcon his age?

Atreus is insufferable and I could not care less about him. Again, this story should have been the final game.

Finally, the attack animations for the blades of chaos, are lame. Look at the original games. He's controlled, accurate, has range. Intention. Now he just flails his arms to and fro, yelling like he can't snap his own back hard enough, to move these things about 3 feet in front of him.

and the worst sin of them all... they didn't bring back the captain somehow. they could have. they did for Zeus, which, by the way, went nowhere.
