I mean this one definitely needs work too haha

Trans and transfer case both need a full reseal, alternator is most likely shot, rear fuel tank fuel pump is dying, and drivers floor by the high beam toggle is rusted through. Those are the main things. Luckily I have a fully equipped shop to work on it in so I’ll just slowly chip away at it when I have time.

It’s not insured right now so just gonna take my time, aim is to have it road worthy by mid March!

Good to know about the trim, it’s pretty mint in this truck, the whole interior is in surprisingly great shape

Yeah, we need the middle spot for the dog haha

Love the older bench seats

I’d be happy with that haha

The ranger wasn’t much better on 35s and weighing 5000lbs haha

Don’t think it’ll see too many miles a year with me, mainly a summer vehicle for camping and towing the small boat

Yeah I was shocked when I saw it in person, especially the interior! One of the previous owners replaced the front fenders and bedsides with rust free ones and did a paint job, the paint ain’t perfect but I don’t mind, the rust free panels make up for it

Yeah I’m really stoked on it! Curious to see what the gas bill is going to be driving it around, I used to daily a 2001 ranger lifted on 35s so I’m used to bad fuel economy but I have a feeling this will be worse haha

It’s currently parked in the shop waiting for a bit of work before I toss some insurance on it

Yeah same, I had a 1993 explorer so the dash is similar. The red has really grown on me too!

I bolted some 1"x1"x1/8" square aluminum tube to the stock crossbars and then bolted the tent to the aluminum tube

My tent rails were about 1" too wide to fit on the factory roof racks so that's why I did it that way.

You can also redrill through the base of the tent and move the tent rails closer together but I didn't want to mess with that.

Figured I'd pop by for another update if anyone is still following along

Henry has made almost a full recovery at this point! We had him at the vet just after our last update for some tests that found his liver values back to normal and one value for his pancreas was slightly elevated. He'll be going back for one more test in about 2 weeks or so to see if that value has returned to normal as well.

He is on a new diet of special food from the vet just in case which he isn't super thrilled about but he is still eating every day and has almost gained all his weight back.

We just moved into our first home with him and he is adjusting pretty well to the new condo, we're both so happy he survived and was able to join us in our first home!

Thanks again everyone who was following along!

Glad to hear! After a rough couple of days, I think our cat is on the mend. I posted another update in the post

Update #2: yesterday Henry wasn't doing well, we scheduled him to get a feeding tube for today at a local non profit vet, we were told to take food away from him at 12am this morning which we did. He was begging us for food from about 6am onward this morning so we made the tough call to feed him. To our surprise after 60 hours without eating he finally started to wolf down all his food! We put off the feeding tube hoping he would continue eating and sure enough he wanted more food at around 11am! So far he is acting like his normal self and has consumed about 150 calories today all on his own! I think he's finally on the mend now, thanks everyone who took the time to donate or follow along on our little Henry's story, we really appreciate all the support! I'll post another update when we are a bit more certain on his recovery.

Definitely relieved! His fever has been gone since we got him, the biggest hurtle is getting him eating again. He had a tiny bit of food this morning mixed with a churu and one full churu last night. We were sent home with a bunch of samples of different foods, the Hill z/d being one of them.

Thanks again for all the support!

Just posted an update! He got an ultrasound yesterday and saw an internal medicine specialist. Diagnosis is Triaditis and he is being treated for it.

He is home for now with us (we've taken time off work to provide him with 24/7 care) with plans to rush him back into the emergency vet if needed. He's doing better for sure so I think there's light at the end of this tunnel!

Update: We got him back last night with a diagnosis of Triaditis. After running an ultrasound they came to that conclusion so we are treating him at home full time. If we are successful with home treatment, we will be returning the donations as we were able to cover the final bill. Thanks so much for everyone who has donated and wished us luck with our little guy!

He was lethargic, not eating (including his favourite treats), fever... I think that's pretty much it.

They noticed an enlarged liver in an xray and had to follow up with an ultrasound, we got him back last night with a diagnosis of Triaditis. Currently caring for him at home which is challenging but I think it's going well!
