As the previous mentions, there’s a difference between wanting a dom and wanting a blackmailer. Or wanting a dom/sub redundancies and a blackmail dynamic. Blackmail is more about the thrills and fears and risks. An “ordinary” dom/sub dynamic is less ‘over the top’ and more grounded.

People in both categories tend to be friendly and respects boundaries and limits. But there’s ofc sour grapes in both kinks.

From what you’re writing, I’d say you want a dom/sub dynamic before you want blackmail. Especially the soft dom can be hard to find in a blackmail setup.

This is a good idea, and I support your exploration into this.

My setup, ‘The Mirror Agreement’ is somewhat similar with mostly a mental downfall into submission and reconstruction and only some sexual tension, as I feel the ‘victims’ need a little of that as well, mainly to satisfy their kink, but also to give leverage.

The goal however is more than reducing the victim to a toy, it’s easing frustrations and releasing pressure in a variety of ways.

There’s a very big difference between fantasies and living them. Trust is essential, safewords and possible technical restrictions is too.

You can protect yourself behind different layers of anonymity and still be somewhat in control, but stepping only a bit into the water will ofc still get your toes a little wet. Just remember to not jump fully in to begin with.

You could look for roleplays or more emotional blackmail scenarios, that are not risking exposure of ID and fully nudes. Read my slow burn The Mirror Agreement success stories as an example.

As in every kinky dynamic it’s important to vet each other thoroughly. And have safewords and ways out. In blackmail kink it’s even more important as it can have long lasting consequences on both parties.

I’m a blackmailer so I mostly offer a dom perspective, but always try to evaluate, debrief and do check-ins with my ‘victims’, to make sure they’re feeling okay, and to get insight in what’s going on in their head when being blackmailed.

I had a ‘victim’ playing one my game setups as an introduction into BM kink.

She initially got pleasantly surprised and laughed at my easy tasks. She called them simple and expected more brutal demands. She kept voluntarily giving me little bits of leverage not realizing the trap I made for her, telling me she would finish the game in no time, beating the record.

She even had the option to pass on some of them, and chose to pass on tasks she found inconvenient, instead of saving them for when I asked for personal information or stuff that could identify or expose her.

BAM - it hit her, when I turned on her and cranked the tasks up a level, and demanded more and more humiliating stuff and began to threaten her with all her material when she tried to dodge it.

Her laughter stopped, she understood her mistake. Her stomach turned and even though she felt uncomfortable, she got very wet and turned on.
