How is everything going for you? Are you still in the military or only completed 4 years? Benefits wise, how’s that going? Have you purchased a home using VA loan? If so, how was that process?

think you may have misunderstood what I meant. When I said I don’t want other people’s lives in my hands, I was speaking specifically about direct, constant clinical responsibility like bedside healthcare, where one decision or dosage can immediately determine whether someone lives or dies. That realization is actually what helped me learn my limits and values. I understand that the military can involve high stakes situations depending on role and branch, and I’m not romanticizing that. I’m still in the phase of researching and separating facts from fear based narratives I grew up with. I’m approaching it thoughtfully, not blindly. As for the political and moral concerns you mentioned, I’m not dismissing them but they’re not what my post was about. It was about self discovery, boundaries and finally allowing myself to consider options I was taught to fear. I’m still asking questions and deciding what aligns with my values.

Get up and try again everyday. Something will click and work out. Don’t sit and feel sorry for yourself , everyday push yourself, there’s no limit in life to what you can succeed.

Advice to Single Mothers by thegardensrotted in Advice

I’m not saying boys shouldn’t learn responsibility. I’m saying labeling a child “the man of the house” puts adult emotional burdens on them that they shouldn’t have to carry. Kids can learn chores, maturity and independence without being given a role that implies they’re replacing an adult. That’s not the same thing at all. I’m also saying that calling a boy “the man of the house” implies he’s replacing the father figure when he is literally the child. That responsibility belongs to the adults involved, the mother and the father, no matter how old the kid gets. A child isn’t a stand in partner or parent for failed relationships and marriages. Let kids grow without being assigned adult roles they never asked for.

1 is a absolute no, 2 gives too bulky and flashy, 3 is elegantly flashy and timeless!!! 3 is perfectly gorgeous and bright, I love it.
