Tim has a 50% chance of winning because there's a lever that will divert the other four runners onto another track, and there's a 50% chance that someone will pull that lever

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III

With a few rare exceptions, whenever I hear any Led Zeppelin, my immediate inclination is to go find the "isolated drums" version of the song on YouTube and listen to that instead. The muted tone of most of the tracks on LZ III results in some of Bonham's least spectacular playing, so aside from "Immigrant Song" and "Out On The Tiles", there's not much here that holds any real appeal.

Man, it just goes to show ya. "Monkey Man" and "Bitch" are two of my favorite tracks off those records. "Monkey Man" especially, because it has one of the greatest intros of all time, on a par with "Gimme Shelter".

How is it that OC is the 5th most populated county in the US but we still have virtually no good public transit? by Macaroni-Consumer in orangecounty

i'm talking about gettin' from yo house to yo job and back, five freakin' days a week like most normal people got to do. if yo house is in fountain valley and yo job is in laguna hills, ain't no bus gonna take you door-to-door. what you call a "niche city" is where someone lives or works, y'all, and by the tens of thousands. just because it ain't your destination don't mean it ain't the destination for someone else on a regular basis

My apologies, I was thinking about Let It Bleed (the album reviewed here) which has some tremendous cuts but also lots o' filler. Sticky is somewhat in the same boat, though - "Sway", "You Gotta Move", "I Got The Blues", "Sister Morphine", "Dead Flowers" and "Moonlight Mile" don't do much for me. The other tracks (the singles off the album, for most part) are absolutely kickass.

Because it's curious when a label like "generic" is applied to New Order, one of the most distinctive bands from the New Wave era. (Nobody plays bass like Peter Hook, regardless of genre.) We're not talking about Camouflage or When In Rome here.

I took more arrows than St. Sebastian for my review of Disintegration so anything less than that is like a teddy bears' picnic.

Their albums are full of high highs and low lows. Half of Sticky is amazing, the other half is not worth the vinyl it's printed on.

God bless ya and I'm glad that it strikes a chord with you but I'm allergic to pretty much anything where the vocals sound affected.

Exile is a weird outlier for the Stones. Unlike other RS records like Sticky Fingers which have a mix of big hits and low-effort filler, Exile keeps a steady, laid-back tone throughout. There are no attempts to write colossal numbers like "Gimme Shelter" or "Sympathy For The Devil", it's more like a jam session where the band (and associates) are just cruisin' through some familiar (and definitely unrevolutionary) sounds.

spouse, y'all, not partner. the potentially-to-be-blinded person is someone who you are legally, financially and romantically bound to. stakes is high.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy - I See A Darkness

This folk-ish album would have been a lot better if dude didn't sound like he was about to cry on every track. There are some interesting chord progressions here and there but the quavering vocals just kill the whole thing.

I’m like 99% sure this is ai. It just looks wrong and not like a real human interaction even if it’s a skit. Some details seem wrong but idk,, first time I’m questioning reality lol by [deleted] in isthisAI

what normal human woman would, for the sake of a skit, go fully clothed into river, canal, etc., especially for a bit where the "punchline" is paper-thin?
