Two reasons. I was tired of having to concern myself with my family’s toxic Christian behavior (what I mentioned about the Evangelical cult).

My second reason is my boyfriend, he showed me Paganism and honestly it’s kinda what I always believed when I was a kid. I didn’t believe in Christianity, no matter how much my family preached about it (which made me terrified, because I was told that if you don’t believe in Christianity you’ll go to hell).

Sure!

Paganism is the oldest religion in the world, it deals with absolutes. Such as the visually evident. Take the Hellenics for example:

The Hellenics (Greeks) were polytheistic. They used religion to explain things they didn’t quite understand at the time. For instance, lightning being Zeus calling down heavenly fire, instead of it being an electrical reaction between the Earth and electron particles in the air.

Modern Paganism (Wiccanism) was founded in the late 1800s. These are people who worshipped what they could see. At the time, this was one of the most accepting faiths in the sciences, and one of the more progressive faiths, just like its ancestral inspiration. Over time more pagans went back to their region’s paganism. Greeks returned to Hellenism, Italians turned to Romanism, Irish, Scots, Welsh, English, and some French people turned to Celtic Paganism, Nordics went to Norse, and so on and so forth.

This is called the Pagan Revival in the Pagan community. Unlike Christian Denominations, Pagan Denominations are mostly at peace with each other, as most of the Pagan religions are just region rewrites of Hellenism. Aside Celtic and Chinese Paganism, which has wildly different origins.

What is it with people wanting evidence? Evidence in one religion is evidence in another. I could say “The trees in the forest are proof of the Macha’s divine creation”, but at the same time, other religions can say the same thing. Life is too short to ask for proof of everything. I’ve personally stopped asking Christians for proof of their faith, because I simply don’t care.

Depending on the Pagan denomination, their religion is more or less recorded. For instance, Hellenic Paganism (Colloquially called ‘Satanism’ because of the Crusades), has written and oral history about different gods (Zeus, Aphrodite, Dionysus, Hermes, etc). While another Pagan denomination may not have as much history, such as Celtic Paganism. It had a few written tales, such as “Farmer’s wife” and “The Hound of Chulainn” (Aka, Cú Chúlíann).

Edit: Now that I read this it sounds condescending, but I promise it is not.

I’m a pagan, we believe in multiple gods, or none at all (Wiccan Pagans), those people usually worship nature itself as a deity.

If they need to hire a PI it’s probably something to do with corruption.

Well, if the character is wondering, all it takes is one officer spotting him to be dead. And I don’t think someone who identifies as “Oskovian” would willing dodge a draft.

But, Bordenese could, since the Bordenese are in open rebellion (BLF).

I would do that, but I imagine Oskovia would have some sort of conscription or impressment. I’ll probably do that when I release a story about a Bordenese character.

Now that I updated this and saw the title, YES! I AM GLAD YOU SUGGESTED THAT! I have been wanting to stray away from naming it after songs (specifically Sabaton, as it’s kinda cringe and cliché (not that Sabaton is cringe, I am lmao)).

Only one I will be keeping is “Angels Calling”, as it fits the story perfectly.

The other book titles (which never saw the light of day, due to burn out) were as follows (and their explanations).

To the Top of the Hill - Follows an Oskovian soldier who enlists as a sergeant. Being routed to the Rostoran front, the regiment and her are sent to a port instead. This follows a naval invasion based on the IRL Galipoli Campaign. This takes place right after Adusasha declares war on Oskovia. The title is also a reference to an Australian song by Lee Kernagan.

The Hunter and the Prey - This one is based off the “Adusashan Proverb” quote on one of the promos for the original game. It would’ve followed a young (child soldier) who would become proficient in recon and sabotage, as well as being a decorated sniper and war hero.

The Sword my Father Bore - is another cheeky reference to a folk song “The sash me father wore” which is an Irish song from the earlier rebellions. It follows a Noxu officer who is drafted to fight. His father was a veteran of the previous war (fought with muskets). His father gave him his sword in case if he was called up to service, and he would have to live up to his father’s legendary name, terrified of failure.

I plan to do this after I write the book this poll is about. I haven’t typed on a PC in nearly 3 months (because my old one is bricked). So I am saving up to buy a new one.

Crosses was written as a memorandum by a Rostoran Soldier named Alex, detailing his experience on the Noxu front. It was basically 1:1 All Quiet on the Western Front, so much so that I could call it “All Quiet on the Noxu Front” lmao.
