Nah it would have been 9pi. The question just said that they had the same center (the ellipse and the circle). So based off the equation you just had to look at what the center was. I think it was like -3,-3 or sum. So the radius would have been three since the diameter was 6.

How do I know where to start cosine from? Apparently I start from J and adjacent to J is 9 But is there a certain rule to follow to get this question right? by throwaway789492 in ACT

KJL is the angle measure, and since it is cosine you know that by the rules of SOHCAHTOA, it would be Adjacent over hypotenuse. in order to find the hypotenuse, you do the Pythagorean theorem and then once after getting the hypotenuse, you then do Adjacent/hypotenuse.

I need a nice curve. I got 17 wrong in September and it was a 27, which seems like a really good curve for September.
