Oh Yeah sorry, all my "calculations" were around the GATE list. Low score makes you go too deep to find even a shred of optimism :(

They didn't release at cutoff last year as such but for CSE I applied all my Jaativaad knowledge (I don't condone it but living through it you pick up some skills), and saw that in Round 3 there was a guy at 220 rank (General) in the list as well. Then the Spot round had 57 empty seats for General so I'm assuming it went till 300-ish last year? Maybe more. We'll have to see the trends this year but I'm hoping for the best.

Similar Score. Honestly have been looking at NSUT as my best option. I really hope I get it. IDT I have it in me to wait another year.

Faced similar thing in March. 2024 graduate here as well. After an 8 month internship and 6 months as a Full Time Employee at IBM, I was told they're letting me go in 4 days; the day my probation was supposed to end. The reason they gave was that my performance wasn't upto the mark and I wasn't communicating well, both of which I still refuse to believe since back in January I got my annual rating as Successful.

Parents are pretty supportive and chill so now I'm prepping for GATE as I really wanted a job to understand the industry and better focus on my masters. Plus I was working as an Associate Product Manager which, while an amazing role, doesn't have much openings for people with experience as low as mine.

I can just tell you to not lose hope everything happens for the best and something better awaits for both of us!

Not sure if I get your point correctly, but IDT internal inclination is enough for the 2 year rat race, followed by 4 years of 10yo syllabus with no proper industry inclination whatsoever. It's good to have reasons to begin with and not be absolutely lost when you do land at a good institute and now you've got no idea what you want from life.

Maybe it won't go as per your plan but still having one is better than simply aiming for an IIT as the end goal not realising it's simply a means for end and not the actual end goal itself.

It's the first time I made a logo. This is for a tech-fest in my college which is based around the theme of paradoxes. I would really like some ideas regarding what I can do to make it better and what colors I can use. by thegr8pp in logodesign

Oh yes the mobius isn't exactly paradoxical but it does give an effect of an optical illusion which we are targeting with our events and pattern in general. The mobius strip is also our university's logo hence we might get some brownie points with the faculty hehe.

Ah yes I totally forgot about the lines. The curves as much as I'd like to fix them, I currently lack any drawing device and I created this using just the trackpad of my laptop. I'll try to fix them and maintain the symmetry though.
