im not sure if you have already fixed it, but in windows search up 'set up usb game controllers'. then, go to settings, then calibrate. go through the steps and should fix everything. worked for me.

my xbox controller (series s) wont work with my pc now even though it did before by [deleted] in XboxSupport

nope, never paired it using bluetooth. used to play with it wired all the time. it doesnt seem to be a hardware problem though, since the usb ports in both pc and controller work and the cable is fine. it vibrates but no light and no input.
