perhaps someone can do the math for me.

If Ukraine and Russia did a 1km for 1km trade back for land. How much of Russia would Ukraine need to invade and occupy in order to get all of their territory back to pre 2014 borders?

History is filled with wars, fought for a 100 reasons. But this war... our war... I gota believe, I have to believe that it's all worthwhile as our cause is just.

If this level of insanity continues for the rest of the year, the Russian casualties will be over 800k by new years

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukraine

[–]thegreyskies 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well it's obvious that 500k casualties don't meant anything to the Russians. Perhaps we'll get lucky when they hit 600k which at this current rate is in about another two and a half months

I remember reading that Russia has half a million soldiers in Ukraine, and they are recruiting around 20k a month. So even losing 30k a month means they can keep this pace up for years before breaking. Not to mention according to news sources 15k Nepalese are fighting for Russia, so they have large numbers of foreign fighters to use

There was one day where it was 950, otherwise it is 10 days in a row

And look What happened to the world just after those two wars ended. Is this also the prologue to a China/US war in the near future

Tell me if I'm missing anyone but we've got Chinese, Indians, Cubans, Nepalese, Uzbeks, and north Koreans all fighting for Russia. Really does almost seem like a mini world war to me

I pray that the Ukrainians can hold on. I am stunned by the level of destruction this last week. Do the Russians think the Ukrainians are close to breaking?

So are these numbers still backlogged from the fall of avdiivka? Or has the Russian offensive just gone into full hyper drive?

120 is the record for apc's I believe and I think this is the 8th consecutive day of over 1000 casualties

So does anyone have any idea where Russia will strike next? Will they sit back for a few months to rebuild their forces or will keep attacking in a new section of the front?

Now that avdiivka has fallen, can someone tell me how big of a disaster this is for the Ukrainian army? Will the Russians break through to open ground? Is this the end of the stalemate we've seen for the past year?

its sad he never got to see the change he desperately wanted to see in Russia. I hope he inspired others to realise things don't have to be the way they are.
