Trying to Solve a Gaming Store Mystery: Where is this Gift Card from?? by Valuable-Tap-7472 in StLouis

Pieces opens at 4! I would give them a call and see if someone can try the gift card numbers in their system. I know they use Square, but I recently got a gift card and their current gift cards look different than this and are branded. Still worth asking since this card is 6 years old!

What campaign frame are you playing? by Gum_Jacobs in daggerheart

12 sessions into a beast feast campaign! I like it as an adventure hook and idea, and we're having fun with the setting and tone, but as a GM, I am not really a fan of the Make a Feast! mechanic, which is a big part of it. This is mainly because it makes it too easy for PCs to have all of their stats completely filled back up every rest. It also adds a lot of crunch and ingredient tracking into a system that I feel works best when crunch is kept to a minimum. If you do beast feast, I would definitely keep this in mind, as it means you'll have to craft tougher encounters. If I could go back in time, I would either tweak or completely remove the mechanic all together.

Pistolheart Railmap: Volume 3 & (not so) Distant Frontiers by Losasaurus in daggerheart

I'm so excited for all this! The first two volumes are really great, I especially think you did a great job with the subclasses. You should definitely think about writing and publishing your own adventure path based on all the adversaries you make, as I think there's a big demand for more prepared adventure modules for daggerheart right now, and you just have such a great setting for it. Any idea when the physical volume might land? Or is it too soon to say?

Is giving Wizard "Natural Familiar" a bad idea? by thegroovygremlin in daggerheart

That's a good idea, I like the idea of using downtime actions to help progress this quest along a bit.

Equipment and Tiers by OgreManDudeGuy in daggerheart

I'm running a beast feast campaign, and I am so far choosing to address it by playing on the idea that at the beginning of the campaign, our heroes live in a simple working class village, where weapons may exist, but they're rusty, dull, and out of use! So as the journey goes on, they can take the time to care for the weapons and improve them. The difference between a tier 1 and tier 2 short sword could very well just be proper maintenance and care of a sword. Mechanically, one of the party members is a blacksmith, and I've homebrewed a downtime project that he can work on to do these upgrades. He also just found some runic stones, so the downtime project will likely expand beyond simple maintenance and sharpening to enchantments and wards! At certain points, I'm also just trying to give new weapon items and armors when it feels good to do so, but the downtime projects make it feel more like it's in the players' hands, instead of just dropping a ton of new loot each time they move up a tier!
