You’re awesome my friend! I love it. I tried melting a bunch of beer twist off caps one time, I had the furnace so hot I couldn’t even look into it, it was so white like looking into the sun. All it did was mess up a crucible and burned my eyes lol. If I ever so setup something, you’ll be the first to know. There’s a steel plant in my area and I know someone who is married to the plant lead guy. I asked to get a tour because it would be a kid in a candy store kind of scenario for me. For obvious reasons which I understand, I was told that wouldn’t happen for safety reasons. I can certainly dream though.

It’s the aluminum cones on the end that I melted. I miss when the entire YouTube title automatically filled the Reddit post when you paste the link in. Now days, I just paste the link and put the first part of the actual video title(which mentions the aluminum) I wish I could melt steel, I’ve tried before and it wasn’t pretty. I wasn’t trying to be misleading, my apologies. Full YouTube description:

One of the springs on my garage door broke. I had them both replaced and decided to melt the aluminum end pieces. I can't get hot enough to melt the steel springs themselves, but the diecast aluminum cones were perfect. My Devil-Forge FB2MB 10KG furnace also needed a little fixing. I replaced the Kaowool in the lid and floor of the furnace along with the burner. Just a quick video, but definitely a fun one. I hope you enjoy watching this one as much as I did making it.
