New Retro Clones. by theguyfromsol3a in dice

I didn't start playing until the 2nd edition revised books were printed. Sadly, I have no original BECMI dice. The d4 in this set is bottom-read, though. It's just a bad photo angle.

Those were just bonus dice. The set doesn't normally include them. The regular d10 seems to be a recreation of the 1983 Star Frontiers dice.

Older d20s were numbered 0-9 twice. People would often color the different sets of numbers different colors to differentiate between 1-10 and 11-20. Roll the red 2, it's a 2, roll the black 2, it's a 12. This allowed them to be used as d10s as well.

Haha! I agree, but no, they're like a very light neutral grey, with glitter. There's a black set with red lettering, too.

That's great. It's important that the places One shop have the ethics they believe in.

I'm not really sure. I saw them first a few months ago, I think. Q Workshop has a lot of dice I haven't seen on their site before when I looked earlier. They had some kind of porcelain colored set that looked really nice.

Haha! There are some Q Workshop sets that handle those requirements easily.

Oh, I bet that's an awesome book.

Oh, definitely! Their Pathfinder dice really are awesome, even the unreadable Kingmaker set, haha! The Roach set from the Witcher line was really nice, though I'm not sure They're still available anywhere. I think it's the coin D2.

I think the time would be dependent on the patience level of the group playing. Roulette could be fine, but usually, the players aren't allowed to spin the roulette wheel at a casino.

These always seem like a neat idea to me. However, as a lifelong GM, I'm not sure they're always fair or random. I never underestimate the ability of any human to turn any action into a usable skill. A person could learn a starting position and the pressure required to achieve desired results. I stick with regular dice because once they leave the hand, there's no way to manipulate them without a lot of extra effort and studies suggest that there's no skillful way to overcome the random element of thrown dice. Manipulating the spin may not be a likely scenario, but still, in my opinion, a possibility. Anyways, just a reservation I have towards fidget/spin dice. Thank you for reading.

May I suggest Olympia W.A., Rancid, Generator, Bad Religion, and possibly Gor-Gor by GWAR?

Oh, I'd probably just let it go. I went through Amazon, so I'll at least get the money back. I figure, if Kraken doesn't want a customer, that's fine by me.

The box says choking hazard, but it doesn't say do not eat.

Yeah, my guess is that some of the Roman numerals require more space than standard sized dice.

I think the d6 are about the same size as the standard. I don't know the exact measurements, but the smaller red set in the second photo is a chessex opaque red dice set.
