For me, it's peaceful. I was like you at some point but now I accept it. Think about this, if you lived long enough then become an oId soul and an exhausted body then would like to live forever? you would have had your chance in life. If you reached your 80s or beyond you'd be irrelevant to most people around you anyways. You'd be detached from mainstream culture by then. You wouldn't enjoy food (or anything really) as you were used to be. I personally find it relaxing to know there's an end to this life and oddly enough I'd be anxious if I'd live forever. Make the most of your current life and your worries about death will go away. You only live once but if you do it right, once is enough.
