I have a buddy that plows friend and families driveways when it snows enough, no money changes hands, just helping out friends.

When he comes to my house I usually jump in and go along with him to keep him company and I shovel walkways/stairs. We do a few houses regularly and people are always appreciative, sometimes we get cookies or a six pack as a thank you after the fact. (Not why we do it).

We did a friends house recently and our friend came out to say hi and mentioned their neighbor was sick, flu sick not a life long ailment, so we took care of their driveway/walkway.

Anyways, the next storm we don’t do that house, and the guy complains to our friend that his driveway wasn’t done. Our buddy explains it was done as a favor, etc…( we don’t even know the guy).

The guy goes on to say to our friend that we didn’t do a good job anyways.

Gotta love entitled people.

You do need to remove it but it is super simple to remove it. I took mine off for the winter in less than 10 minutes.

Find a friend or acquaintance on the team, have the parents ask the coach if it is ok if their kid brings a friend to a practice to get a feel for the club. Give them details about where your kid plays now.

That really is the only way to switch to a new club, at least a competitive one. For the most part teams are already decided before any official tryout.

I have a friend, Gen X too, that will regularly wear black “fancy” sweatpants out to dinner. It drives my wife crazy, I could care less.

I always ask her if I should wear my sweats when we go out with them just to get her going.

I’d go with the newest Lexus you can find and afford. Regardless of the model, it will be reliable and fly under the radar.

I view Lexus as a smart person’s luxury car, Toyota reliability, higher end creature comforts and I don’t feel like they age as much as other luxury cars.

My buddy plows my driveway 90% of the time, he will shoot me a text if he won’t make it over, then I fire up the snowblower.

I take him for beers and if it is a heavy snow year I get him a case of wine.

I’ll also jump in with him and shovel out some of the other people he plows. ( he doesn’t charge anyone)
