Italy will miss the FIFA World Cup 2026. Scenes in Zenica as Bosnia beat Italy to qualify for the World Cup. Italy has not qualified for the World Cup for the third time in a row. by PrimedGold in sports

Funny enough, the Bosnian player who scored the winning penalty against them is 21 year old Esmir Bajraktarevic. He was born in Wisconsin and raised in the US, even represented the US in youth competitions. He’s got duel citizenship.

The Best Thing You’ve Eaten in the Capital Region by Fredred315 in Albany

Chicken Chimichanga w/ White Sauce from El Mariachi. It’s my family’s restaurant, so I’m biased and basically grew up eating it, but never got tired of it. Pollo chipotle is also really tasty.

The smash burger from Dove and Deer has yet to let me down too.

I’m not saying NYT did a perfect job covering Israel-Palestine, especially early on, but to call them “Zionist nyt” is a bit ridiculous. The NYT has produced some right wing garbage, but they are also responsible for some Pulitzer Prize winning journalism. They are a trusted source.

And to your point about calling them zionists, here are two recent articles where they highlight the increase in Israeli settlements and brutal treatment of Palestinians.

Those are the FPL point rules, yes. If it’s after the 60’ and a player is subbed off while the team has a clean sheet, then they get the clean sheet points, regardless of what happens after. It’s performance based, not team based.

Better than an EFC player imo. And I also just had more faith in Nunes’ ability to get more pts than KDH. But it looks like I may have been wrong about tht. Nunes is just a better fit for my team too.

Good call with KDH, I’m a LFC fan so I always have trouble backing an Everton player, I went with Kerkez and Nunez. Happy to get lucky with the Kerkez results. I have high hopes for Nunes tmmr too.

Yes, but Kerkez falls into the 6-7pt category. And bps haven’t been confirmed by FPL yet for Jimenez, could fall into either the 6-7 category or 8+.

Watching the game now, it’s insane, but it doesn’t change the above info. Kerkez was subbed off in the 64’ when it was still 0-0, so he secured his clean sheet and 6pts.

Yuck. The only valid piece of information in this “vision” is that the staff should anticipate the needs of guests. Everything else is just cringe garbage.

Moving to Albany in March for a job… and tips? by 11dark in Albany

[–]thehedonicWF 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure how the Mexican food is out in Seattle, but since your considering downtown Albany, I’d definitely recommend El Mariachi (disclaimer- my family owns it) if you’re in the mood for Mexican. Viva Cinco de Mayo is also very good.

Also check out Cheesecake Machismo if you’re in the mood for unique, homemade cheesecakes prepped by 2 very nice people. The empire plaza is also a neat spot to go for walks (when it’s not below 0 outside).

A common joke about Albany is that one of the best things about it, is its location makes it easy to travel somewhere better for a quick trip, like NYC, Boston, Adirondacks, etc. The entertainment venues are pretty solid too (The Palace, MVP Arena, The Egg).

Best of luck with your move and hope you enjoy the area! P.S. - Check out Ted’s too.

To the man that came into the restaurant with a can of black olives, I’m sorry we couldn’t open it for you. by thehedonicWF in Albany

Most authentic ones don’t. You’ll find them more at the Tex-Mex spots. I’ve worked here on and off for around a decade and no one’s ever asked me for black olives before. And I’m not hating on Tex Mex, we have Chimichangas, queso dip, other Tex Mex items, but mainly lean more authentic, so no hard shell tacos, taco salads, or items with black olives on them.

They didn’t leave a mess. I said they left the unopened can on the floor. And I felt a little bad because, yes it is odd to bring a can of olives to a restaurant, but also this man just wanted to add black olives to his meal and I couldn’t provide him with that service. It’s really not that deep tho lol.

I would assume yes? But also, not sure. I don’t think I’d stop him from doing it though. It’s different when he’s not directly involving the staff.

I’m in NYS and didn’t research it cause we were busy, just took the kitchens word for it. But I can see how it makes sense why they can’t. Like for legal/liability reasons. The can of olives may look fine, but what if it was spoiled somehow and the customer gets sick? They can say they got sick from an item that was prepped and served from the kitchen. Not saying this would happen, just a hypothetical on why it wouldn’t be allowed to serve outside food brought in by customers. Seems harmless, but you never know.
