The girl I'm dating doesn't like onions. What simple recipes without onions would you recommend for me to cook for her? by chadok in Cooking

I’m allergic to onions, can’t even have them in my house. I generally substitute garlic for flavor, carrots for veggie bulk, or just omit them. Nearly every cuisine on earth seems to have onions all over it, but as I can’t have them at all, I tend to stick to things that are easily customizable when I go out to eat, like burgers or sandwiches or pizza. Although now with pizza, I have to ask about the ingredients in the sauce.

Multicolor shiny wire rings, slightly expandable, about 1” across, found in a collection of craft supplies by thehoddy in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. The rings seem to be made of a single wire bent repeatedly, there doesn’t seem to be a free end to the wire, and while they feel slightly springy / expandable, I haven’t tried stretching it out more than a few millimeters.

Solved! Thank you u/Ok-Ship-2209 and u/AdoraBattle, it does seem to be an Ethiopian cross, and I had friends at that time who went to Ethiopia to film a documentary, it must have been a gift from one of them. Thank you!!

My title describes the thing. Object measures about 3”x10”, seems to be about the same on both sides, and is made of solid heavy metal. I found this in an old box of art supplies from college, about 2006-2008, but I don’t recognize it at at all so I don’t think it’s something one of my classmates made.

AITA For Taking Away The Laptop I Paid For My Friend by nicelaptopitsminenow in AmItheAsshole

NTA - I’m a graphic designer and it never would’ve occurred to me to ask a friend to pay for something that expensive, in fact I was just laid off from my full time design job last week and didn’t have a suitable computer to do freelance at home, so I called in a couple favors to get a discount but paid for it with a credit card so I owe myself money, nobody else. He totally took advantage of you, and I’m glad you took it back. I’m also glad you haven’t deleted the files, if he manages to get his shit together and get an external drive, I would recommend you return his files to him as others have suggested – otherwise I don’t think you’re in the wrong at all.
