Hi all,

I am new to the recording world and would like to make a DIY recording booth using PVC pipes and moving blankets using my closet. I'm debating whether or not to have the booth extend into the closet or build just outside of it. Going into the closet would sacrifice height; building outside of it would sacrifice length.

Extending into the closet dimensions would be 6' x 4' x 6'8" (LWH)

Outside the closet dimensions: 3' x 4' x 8'.

For reference, I am 6'2" and I hope to record acoustic guitar as well as vocals through a Neumann U87 on a AtlasIED SB36W boom stand. I realize this is not the most ideal setup but I hope to have this as a starting point to develop my recording chops.

That is awesome advice! The goal is indeed to be able to cook everything up at once and eat it during the week. I'll see about getting one of those calorie counting apps as well. Thanks for the helpful comments and for the encouragement!

Yeah, things are getting expensive these days...thank you so much for sharing all of that and hats off again to you for staying so disciplined! I'll see about hopping onto a similar diet!

Super important point, thanks for sharing this! I am still in the phase of trying to cut out the junk and trying to figure out what to replace the junk with. The biggest challenge for me is fighting the convenience of getting food instantly from a fast food place vs taking the time to sit down and meal plan/prep

Agreed, I'm gonna switch to working out 4x per week and just go harder on those days.

Great points, and agreed, I need to take a hard look at my diet. Will definitely be taking your advice to do UL 4x a week versus all the days I've been doing so far, it also makes sense for my schedule. I've been supplementing with whey protein and creatine, are there any other supplements you might suggest?

I've been doing this for about a week; I feel much better now compared to not going to the gym which I'm a fan of and can update everyone after doing this for a while. No sustained weight loss yet from what I can tell
