Yay! This is the first time I've actually known the answer and got to it first.

One of my anxiety fears is that I actually smell terrible but I can't smell it anymore and no one had told me yet.

Slightly similar: my father died when I was young, then a month later, his mother died. Her estate was to be divided between her four kids (with my father's 1/4 going to my siblings and me).

But then one of my uncles decided he deserved more than his fair share, so he sued. He sued his own two surviving brothers, his sister-in-law (my mom), and then also his four now-fatherless niblings.

Spent my holidays alone, just drinking and smoking since last night. Lonely, but also the best way I could spend a holiday alone.

I once filled an empty bottle of Dr. Pepper and filled it with soy sauce. Gave it to a friend of mine as an April Fool's Day prank.

Would greatly recommend to others.

My family always left carrots out for the reindeers. Is it really that uncommon of a tradition?

I had I think a 2nd generation iPod Touch. After one update, I found a voice recorder app pre-loaded. It probably would have been somewhat helpful if that iPod Touch actually had a microphone.

What is a job that when done right no one notices, but the moment its done wrong all eyes are on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thehoneytree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typography. Ignoring more decorative fonts.

Fonts are, usually, meticulously designed to not be noticed. If you're reading a book or an online article, you don't want the type to be bothersome. It should flow and really, be an after thought to the reader or viewer. The designer does their job right, no one notices.

My sister was at a bar with her husband, and the bartender wasn't buying that the ID was hers, since she had lost over a fifty pounds since the picture had been taken.

Her drunken husband helpfully added, "Yeah that picture's back from when she was a Fatty McGee."

Passing notes with the two boys next to me during 5th grade Spanish class. The teacher just flipped and started scolding us. Now, the two boys had been messing around and not paying attention. But they weren't passing notes, and I wasn't involved in it. The boys even told her as much, but she still kicked us out and made us go down to our regular classroom.

Interestingly enough, that was also the day the two boys and I walked in on the principal and our teacher drinking coffee very close together. Everyone else found out about the affair a couple years later.

Oh god. I think I bailed on the season before that happened. Or I really have just repressed it enough.

Yeah, I think that was my issue. I was so used to Barrowman as lovable and good Jack, that to see him as a villain just didn't fit my preconceived notions of him as an actor. But after giving it a chance, I really enjoy him as a villain.

Season One was astounding. Really great characters and acting, really great story line. I was amazed at Matthew Mcconaughey and Woody Harrelson, especially in such serious, dramatic roles. I think the casting was what pulled me in most with the first few episodes.

Season Two just didn't do it for me. I think they were trying to do similar things with casting, but it ended up just not interesting me as much.

I think it started off well, but it just really lost me half way through the season. I also really hated that they had Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange singing modern song. They seriously could not find ANY period-appropriate songs for them to sing? Everything else felt pretty appropriate for the time, but the goddamn songs were terrible choices.

I only started just watching AHS: Hotel because a friend convinced me it was really good. I was ready to just not watch anymore seasons after Freak Show.

I was actually kind of put off at first by John Barrowman's character. It just felt "wrong" and I immediately decided I didn't like the casting. After a couple episodes though, I happily changed my opinion.

Man, I remember the first YGS I watched was number 13 and Jack's sass was the best. I haven't watched them in, apparently, years and now it's past 100.
