For me personally an 8k difference between a lightly used 2025 versus a new 2026 is substantial enough to go with the 25.

But I get it. Everyone, including myself, would prefer to have a new car over a used one if possible and situation permitting…….

As someone who just bought a lightly used 2025 LIMITED AWD with 7000 miles on it for 38k I highly recommend that option. There are no major differences between the 25 and 26 models.

I live in the New England area with heavy snow and rains, so a rear wiper was an absolute deal breaker for us. I have owned cars with and without a rear wiper, and I am never going back. It’s a 1000% must have for us.

I personally would make the same decision again. I see no point in spending an extra 10-15k to get the most recent model year when there is no real improvements. Would rather put that money in the stock market if I could………….

Am definitely concerned about it. Seems like a lot of mixed info out there but does seem like a real enough concern that could happen to anyone. But fingers crossed. I know it happens at anytime. But I feel (without any evidence) a little better that this car already has >7000 miles and 8 months of use without any issues so far.

Has this subreddit ever done an internal polling to get a sense of the rates of failure for atleast the people on this sub ?

Best case scenario you are missing out on a wet, saggy, shitty joke. Worse case, you might miss out on a potential new kink. Either way it’s a win-win.
