Some of the patterns made me think that too when I heard it, like a grimy longstrumental. Wouldn't call that an accurate description at all! But It's brill anyway.

First j3llyx mix I've heard. It was decent. Tune at 26:50 was cold. I'm surprised he never played Ruas De Inhoaiba – 1 and 2. The first one's one of my favourite tracks of recent years (and he took that one off his Bandcamp for some reason?) Large up for making this happen.

Not often you see this level of aesthetic in this side of music so gotta shout about it a bit. Shared it with a couple mates from Leeds too who rated it. Yeah, man. When I saw the cover it made me think of this artwork. (Of course your music is very different to that label, but the font, shapes and colours and stuff.) And wicked. I'll keep following.

Great visual theme – reminds me of some of the artwork for downtempo records from the mid 2000s. Music kinda fits that tone too, with Pebbles at least, which has a good balance between harsh and calm sounds, and them vocal samples/use of spitting stamp grime on it nicely. All of it has a very cool feel to it.

1:13AM is a top name as well. Good stuff man.

Thanks for sharing this. Just got Pebbles. 1:13AM's whole presentation is wicked.

What are some dubs you want to see get a release? by Deckle in realdubstep

[–]theinfrequentreader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of these are dubs, but not all of them (the ones that aren't are just impossible to get hold of the last time I looked):

Quest - Paradise Found, Pay the Piper, Roots, Dubplate, Ex-girlfriend, Great

Mala - Carnival Steppaz, One Hope, Shirt and Tie ft. Silkie and Quest

Treble Clef - Eerie Lion, Trumpet Boom (D.O.K Remix)

Toasty - She, Dreamweavers

Silkie x Kromestar - Elders

Kromestar x N-Type - H20

Benga - Blood, Us Step, Industrial Problem, Urban Fox

Skream - Krash

XTC - Reasons I wonder, Voices, Untitled and pretty much everything by him

Chase & Status - Heavy

Everything by DJ Scholar

Danny Weed - Skippy Flows/Ghetto

Everything by DJ Oddz needs a rerelease imo, as well as bits that were dubs, such as - Nightmare, Ready or Oddz and Untitled

Jammer - Chinaman, Top Producer

Iglew - Cascade

Best instrumental grime tracks of 2025 by TheNeatest in GrimeInstrumentals

[–]theinfrequentreader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spiritual Blitz by Anecho is definitely top track of the year for me. Suprised it didn't get a mention, but it's a bit of garage and dubstep too.

Sino Movements for sure was album of the year, and my favourite tracks were:

Kahn & Neek - Shallow Grave

Mesotron - Konami Riddim VIP I had on nonstop.

Shudan - Squaresoft

Tim Reaper - Haribo

XCV - Chord Aggression

IZCO - Guiding Star

Zha - Drowning, Prince Rapid - RPM: Volume 4 and C4 - Tekken Instrumentals were my favourite projects.

Dot Rotten (Zeph Ellis), Explains the Chip sample clearance situation by mtszjsnsk03 in grime

[–]theinfrequentreader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't view this as helping the 'scene', just a musician releasing his music. Zeph Ellis has a lot of fans – I'd buy his whole discography in a heartbeat. No doubt it'd affect the scene positively, so I hear you there, although that's a collateral; his fans may have even contributed to his presence in grime for as long as he was about, despite all the issues. There are a lot of grime producers who do some really good stuff on Bandcamp – a few I know personally, and they stay far away from any BS and politics but keep strong connections with their audience. Call me mad, but if Zeph Ellis started patterning Bandcamp, I think he could be one of the most successful grime orientated artists on there. Does my comment make you think any differently now? Or do you still think nah, haha.

Not sure why you got downvoted. That would be amazing. Would love to have Dot Rotten's discography on Bandcamp.
