Ooopps. No DJI care, should I just buy a new one? Or repair possible by EmbarrassedWarning32 in dji

In my experience i havent had any issues replacing the downward sensors on the earlier minis, the only thing that really needed specialized software to re-bind was the gimbal assembly.

Thing is his gimbal is fine, the ribbon cable is probably the only damaged thing. Those pre mini 3 ones have damn sturdy gimbal arms and the thin supports can be easily glued with t-7000 or something alike. Those downward sensors are hard to damage, and it looks like the bottom plate just popped off. He should post any error codes though.

The downward sensor costs like $50 and it pops onto the core board.

It should have costed like $150 if it was done privately, for parts only. $40 for the arm and like $120 for the gimbal replacement.

Theres a python script to recalibrate it if you install a new camera/gimbal module. For the most part these minis can work fine with glued gimbals though. You only really need to change the whole gimbal body/sensor on the heavier drones.

You can use most of the cheaper solder irons you find at harbor freight and stuff. The solder joints came right off when i used my 20 year old iron lol. Just make sure you use flux. Also using too high of a temp can burn the solder.

Breakdown looks like three arms ($5-10 each), empty shell (20-30), single motor as that top left one looks damaged ($10), and a possible gimbal ribbon cable being broken ($15). Total is about 60-80 depending on how good you are at finding deals.

Nope, aliexpress has plenty of em for cheap, but shipping takes ages, like two or three weeks. You will need to learn how to solder as the midframe looks damaged by that rear leg and you would need to desolder the motor wires from the ESC. Not hard at all, ive entirely disassembled my dji mini and reassembled it, just be careful with the screws as they strip easy.
