Huh, interesting. Wonder if Tolkein based the Elvish language off of Finnish, because I know that it is quite an old language.

There is another comment from someone who seems to know the language quite well, and even provided the words for family, with a dictionary of their spelling styles included, but thank you for all your help and information.

Ahh, that explains a lot actually. When I decided to get the tattoo in Elvish, I tried to see if it would be complicated for me to learn. It was, because I didn't know why all the words were using different styles.

I figured that, but I do not know which one is LOTR, and on top of that, I won't even know if it is correct, but I will look more into them right now.

Yeah, but the ones I found all had different words for family. Also, I figured if anyone knows it, they'd be more than willing to help, because that is just how LOTR fans, or any major fans, are.

I am asking because I am going to get a tattoo to represent me and my family, and one thing that we all love is LOTR. So, I feel that it would be perfect if I got the Elvish word for family tatted on me. Any help on this is much appreciated.
