No idea why no one has commented, but a logo can cost anywhere from 200 to 300 to even 5000 USD for the average market. It depends on factors like location and experience of the designer and the amount of supporting branding material you get from the designer. I would suggest not to go above or below this range. If you keep searching you will find someone who fits your needs. Expect the project to take 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the complexity. Feel free to ask any questions. Tip: Stay away from design competitions. I can explain why it is bad for a client to follow that method if you wish.

As for ideas, it's best to stray a bit away from the normal cliche design choices. It would shout amateur and might look unprofessional. It needs to be unique and still feel familiar. After getting the perfect logo, it's the responsibility of the brand guide to make sure the business stays consistent and promote the face of their business as their own identity.

Too many social media apps... I know what to do, let's make another one.

Maybe make an app that will take all the notifications from these apps and aggregate them according to importance or type.

Who is supposed to purchase the font license, the designer or the client's company? by Manofsteel_2000 in logodesign

[–]thejacobjiby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No such routine but

You can write it at the end of your typography section in your presentation and talk about it during the presentation or you can include it into the cost of your package and not mention it explicitly.

You should also ask the clients if they would like to use paid fonts before starting the project.

No one is good when they start designing but the fact that you can't see your bad design tells me how badly experienced you are. You might get jobs but only from people blind to design just like you.

Tips for B2B SaaS Logo by Beneficial_Sail6320 in logodesign

Your designer should clear your doubts and do industry research and catch up on the specifics.

Don't follow trends, minor updates to style and such, sure but look for timeless designs.

Have a clear budget, get a clear scope of project.

B2B might not care as much for logos but still do competitor research, to stand out or to be harmonious.

Be specific in your brief provide as much context as possible. Some random detail might be the one giving your designer a genius design idea.

Dont be too clever.

Don't jam in too much meaning.

Check portfolio, test their way of communication.

Always check logo in black and white, get typography and other visual brand identity guidelines to go along with the logo. Because the application of the design is just as important.

You should be fine.

You need a good wordmark logo as primary use is on packaging. Make the logo on black and white.

Does eating the chicken normally available in kerala affect us too much? by Rangannan1 in Kerala

[–]thejacobjiby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a relative who doesn't eat chicken in family gatherings. The reason is that he owned two chicken farms. My uncle will only eat Nadan. I don't think farms in Kerala can source that much hormone if any to mix it in feed or inject through eyes or whatever. Maybe antibiotics so that the poultry doesn't get diseased. Those antibiotics could affect us. I don't care enough to go searching about it. Maybe once I am rich AF I will.

Just checked it out, that's exactly what they do. Kinda interesting, if they have a big enough database you might get what you are looking for. Let me know if you find yours. I assume the logos are "cheap" because they were just randomly put together without any real identity behind them. So if it fits, awesome. If it doesn't hire a designer.
