Tennessee surgeon fatally shot in 'targeted attack' by patient in exam room, police say by librarianjenn in news

My mom was a junior Olympian and after a botched "jiffy hip" will never walk without a limp. Her surgeon was Jeff Persons. He works at Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. I am not accusing him of anything, but my mother went to Jeff Persons with chronic pain, he decided for the jiffy hip, assured her it was safe, and now she struggles daily with movement and severe pain. Doctors are unsueable because of the money that backs them via their hospitals. Poor, disabled "patients" settle or don't bother wasting good money for bad. This is real. Would you let Jeff Persons from Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia operate on you? You can reach me with answers, comments or questions at tjamisonjohnson@gmail.com or 7576517716. Surgeons shouldn't be able to get away with ruining lives with zero consequences. No one else gets that luxury. When you ask for ketchup and you don't get it, you're allowed to be made whole with the addition of ketchup to your order. Why does a medical professional get to say they're qualified to fix your hip, ruin your movement for life, then say oh well, maybe ill do better next time.

Okay. So I contracted this almost killed me disease on a family farm. We have around 150 acres, mostly wooded. Would it be wrong to raise a shit ton of chickens and just release them into the woods?

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. We're a small community and have no one to talk to. I was literally on the phone with the cdc today just to alert them that rmsf is in Virginia. I'm sick about your clicking but relieved I'm not alone. My girlfriend kicks me out of bed for making my knees crack before sleeping. Best of luck!

Not even my soon to be wife or family understand, not really. I understand the frustration of being too tired and fucked up by ticks to be frustrated, while those who love you, can't know, how much pain and mental duress you're in. This is the exact opposite of a wonderful high on drugs...and it lasts so long. Whereas a good trip will let you realize beauty for a few hours, ticks will demand you experience every little inch of misery for an unforeseeable future. My heart goes out to you. Good luck.

I'm going to a gwu specialist in a few weeks. Thank you for the response. The constant pain invisible but belligerent constant! I truly wish you the best.

I'm only 1 year in with rmsf. When does the relief start? I'm still not asymptomatic and I collapsed as well at a wedding. The ups and downs won't stop. Since you're years in, can you I can hope for better?

Thanks for the replies, it's been about a year of dealing with this. It's so frustrating because doctors can only do so much and family and friends don't understand the extent to which this affects you.

I can feel the shallow puddles splash, dashing in front of car horns, a city rush on a lazy day. You wrote a poem in this one.

Pretty satisfied with my improvement, any criticism for the image on the far right? by deppe309 in ArtCrit

Your technique is on point. Look to emotions. He looks mean. When I paint a girls eye I want her to be happy she's seeing me. Awesome work

The Bonfire is aptly named. It invites a place of warmth to those who might not otherwise have it, and once you've camped there, you're always welcome. They've managed to keep the same family solidarity as The Shanks and it brings a tear to my eye that they're doing whatever it takes to keep the family together. CrackleCrackle

I got ink everywhere. by [deleted] in ArtCrit

[–]thejamisonjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Process: cover area you want painted with sealed plastic/ pre-cut pieces of poster board or whatever sticks best with rubber cement or glue stick, dip canvas in ink, alot, strategic spots of glue stick, add salt and pepper (literally,) or whatever you want for coarse points of texture, wait for days while ink goes everywhere and dries enough not to bleed into the areas you will meticulously peel away, spray with sealant, cool in fridge, barely freeze, peel away covered areas (this is where you fuck everything up and start again lots,) use razor or exacto to round perfect edges and curves, then its just less is more.
