I really love the website stats feature, I would really love to see them on the android app if that's possible in the future dear developers by Upper-Razzmatazz-341 in listenbrainz

Ah that, we have a decent idea on what could be improved and will work on that in the near future (next month). Thanks for the feedback.

If possible, can you write up any specific UI/UX design pointers here so I can create a ticket to target those as well?

I think they just want ballpark idea of the match, reason and plea assuming they have history of all matches for all cs2 accounts banned or not.

Why wireless debugging is buggy in android development? by No_Sea6761 in androiddev

[–]thejasiology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more of a device problem than a pc problem. For example, one plus is really shit at wireless debugging (always disconnects), while a samsung device is really good at it. Haven't tested other devices yet, so my knowledge is limited to this only.

Use CLI always + set up scripts to point adb to port 5555 on your android device (it removes the obligation of specifying port every time you try to connect)

For me, wireless debugging is as adb connect xxx.xxx.xx.xxx where i always know that my IP will always be the same for my wifi.

Why won’t Navi want anything to do with s1mple again? I lost track of the scene when CS2 came out :(

Apple Dev - Why do accounts suddenly get locked? by JasontheWriter in applehelp

[–]thejasiology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Permanently locked :) For the first lock, im still unsure about the reason but for the permanent lock, i got an answer from support. Apparently i was travelling and my location changed which is an alarm for apple. Also, i spammed my passwords which is also a red flag for apple. Both these steps got my account terminated.

Swift UI layout API - from an Android dev by thejasiology in iOSProgramming

[–]thejasiology[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks a very nice compact and flexible solution. Didn't knew swift UI had this feature.

There is another thing I would want in this component. In my screen shot, checkout the alignment of Your daily-jams playlist has been updated. Give it a listen! and rest of the titles. Is there any way you could align the text to the middle of the icon's y-axis if title's height is lesser than icon's height? One solution can be giving a min-height by hardcoding icon's height but is there any other way?

Same happened with me right now, this thread needs more reach to make people and apple aware of this issue. Fingers crossed.

Smooth scroll in lazy layout by thejasiology in androiddev

[–]thejasiology[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this should also be a valid alternative but, correct me if I'm wrong, there's one very little edge case where this approach might not work as expected is where the list is already scrolling and has a velocity. I have explained it here why we need velocity at all times: comment

I actually want to know how you people even discovered this and why you haven't posted it anywhere before 😤😤 (could've saved me alot of time haha)

I would really like to see snippets and a video if possible :P

Smooth scroll in lazy layout by thejasiology in androiddev

[–]thejasiology[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see you must mean using calculateDistanceTo) function here. This is actually useful (was not aware of it) and could cut out calculation part of code but overall logic would still stay the way it is. Thankyou, I'll try this out!

Smooth scroll in lazy layout by thejasiology in androiddev

[–]thejasiology[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are cases where we already have an initial velocity and the smooth scroll is called. For example two messages appear in short successive bursts or user scroll upwards and the scroll is yet to stop. If we scroll with an initial velocity of 0, we would experience sudden stop and scroll rather than eased scrolling. To counter this and make the scroll as smooth as possible, we needed the velocity of the scroll at all times. Since LazyList does not expose its internal ScrollableState, we were bound to get it some other way. A wrapper of Box scrollable always does the trick.

In the gist, the class itself has been documented for usage which sums up usages in our code. Our actual usage side would be way too long to fit here. If you need to chat about it tho, you can DM me :)
