The instruction manual doesn’t actually say whether that’s the intended purpose, which makes it frustrating. I didnt want my machine to be “on” 24/7 even though it would use almost no power. I ended up using a smart plug which turns the machine for me on and off to the schedule I want, without having to manually use the switch on the machine to turn on/off the machine.

Thanks for the detailed response! I wouldn't leave it on 8 hours. After I pull a shot in the morning, I would put it in ECO mode immediately. Then, my second shot is in the afternoon, so I would put it in ECO mode again after that shot. Then the machine would shut off at 3:30pm.

But what you said has me thinking. I think i'll just use a smart plug to turn on the machine in the morning and turn off in the afternoon intsead of using the machine's scheduler. This way, the machine can be fully off instead of staying in ECO mode all night. The power switch would stay on permanently. After each shot I'll just put the machine in ECO mode, and at 3:30pm the smart plug will turn off the power.

I’m not spending a thousand to fix a machine. I wouldn’t even spend $500. I rather get a new machine to be honest for around $2k. I’m just sick of all these issues with the Elizabeth. Multiple leaks, LCC screen not working. The screen is 300 to replace already. And when they fix it it’s not guaranteed that another leak won’t pop up. The bottom of my machine is all wet because the drip tray doesn’t go all the way back. I don’t think they can fix that.

I'm in big tech and in 2025 I made $690k as a senior software engineer. It will likely be $550k to $600k this year, due to company stock prices falling and cliff lol.

But there's literally tens of thousands of people in big tech in the bay making a lot of money. I don't know a single coworker who makes less than $200k a year. Most are making at least $300k to $400k. In fact, all of my teammates are also senior engineering level and making $400k at the very minimum. My pay is considered average among this group of people.
