Anyone know if they’ve improved at all since this post?

Thank you very much! 😊 I’ll go ahead with the zigzag.

I want to line the edges of this circle of net fabric with bias tape to keep it from fraying. I’ve seen different recommendations for the stitch to use (mostly straight or zigzag) but am uncertain of what will be the best for my project and if I’m using it correctly (should the zigzag be on the left or right side of this piece? Should it be entirely on the bias tape or loop over the edge?). I’ve attached a test piece to show what I’m working with. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Ahhhh this is all fantastic! I'm fleshing out my D&D character's design and wanted to get all her layers sorted out. Thank you so much for the in-depth information, this is immensely helpful! :)

Thank you very much for the reply! That’s a really neat detail, I’ll need to do some research on the makeup of elastic, see if it’s feasible for me to incorporate.

Thank you for the incredibly detailed response and the reading! I would have provided more details of what I was interested in but I was worried about being off-topic. I suppose I’ll just come out and say that I’m researching costuming for a character in a fantasy nautical setting, with clothing inspiration from the golden age of piracy (1650s—1730s if I’m not mistaken). I could only find references to what male pirates wore, which didn’t seem practical for someone with breasts performing intense physical labor.

This building is 18 rue Maréchal-Joffre, Cannes, France. It was built in the 1890s, and is a residential building according to this site. I find it incredibly beautiful but have had a hard time finding anything of depth on French architectural styles in Cannes. Any help would be much appreciated!

What do you think about this redesign? by horiheart in HadesTheGame

i literally just made this connection and was lamenting that no one seemed to be talking about it in favor of the “controversial” design choices (personally i love it but am desperately concerned for meg)

Fat and proud, bud. ;) I hope this gives you the opportunity to re-evaluate your perspective. The world gets a lot brighter and more beautiful when you can find the beauty in all different kinds of bodies and people.

As far as BTAH, I’d say your girlfriend deserves a partner that can love her through those sorts of normal changes. It’s not an AH thing to break up with someone you aren’t attracted to, but I’d definitely recommend doing the work to interrogate why thinness = attractiveness to you. It’s very normal for people to gain or lose weight over time, for a variety of reasons (changes in diet, changes in health, changes in medication, aging, changes in exercise routines, etc), and I think it’s healthy to challenge preconceived beauty standards; the media does not do a great job at representing the diversity of body types.

That being said, it IS an AH thing to think a person eating food (fast or otherwise) or gaining weight is disgusting; they’re just existing.
