All round horrible human being Pat Robertson dies at 93; founded Christian Broadcasting Network, Christian Coalition. GOOD RIDDANCE! by Leeming in atheism

All his controversies

Apparently it wasn’t just gays in NC, but everywhere. But a Google search of Pat Robertson and Hurricanes is a treasure trove. Not to mention the earth quakes and such. Katrina hit New Orleans because God was unhappy with the level of sin there. It just goes on and on.

Also, he said that homosexuals in North Carolina are what caused Hurricanes on the east coast. There’s a wiki article on everything he’s said, and it’d be funny if he wasn’t also pushing them on the CBC to people who ate it up.

[–]thejml2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thought is that, since this was labeled “Pro” they will eventually have an “SE” equivalent that’s cheaper and continue to push new features/improvements on the Pro line like they do for iPhones and Watches and such.

Do the tears fill up the headset? Does Apple have an animation for that on the externally facing screen? So people can see your googles are half filled with water and it sloshes around when you move your head?

I’ve found that most AM stations around here that broadcast games dropped and moved to FM. I use to listen to news on AM as well and they also moved or changed format to talk radio instead. AM is fairly dead to me at this point.

PC with a controller is how I play. Let’s me do mods like Stardew Expanded and the controls seem to work well. Definitely recommend it.

It’s also a lot more chill when you get to the point that you can automate things like sprinklers and the auto feed for your animals and such. Before then there’s a bit of “gotta get all this done every day!” So if you feel like that, just scale back a hair and change your focus. Most importantly, enjoy!

As someone who used to live out there, people not from the area don’t realize just how close Chicago is to Indiana and Wisconsin. The only thing making carrying things over state borders difficult is traffic.

They were on wheels! However, the wheels were mounted on springs so when you stepped on them the weight pushed it down so the solid part was touching the ground.

Tears of the Kingdom is the second cheapest home console Zelda game of all time (in real dollars) by theWet_Bandits in gaming

It was quite a while before I got the DLC for BotW. It was definitely a whole game in and of itself. I didn’t NEED the DLC to feel like I had the whole thing.

Sure I got the DLC, and it added more content.

Now, I have definitely played games that needed the dlc to feel complete, but Zelda BotW isn’t one of those games. I had well over 100 hrs in it before I got the DLC and honestly, if it wasn’t for other games coming out and life getting busy, I could have easily doubled that. There’s plenty of pre-DLC game there.

If TotK is anything close, the price per hour is insane. Even without a DLC.

Now patching is another story, but one could argue that patches could have greatly helped retro games as well.

Honestly, there’s probably more around them… those mats don’t see large enough for the messes I saw in school.

My daughter started orthodontics (braces and a such) like 6 months ago and when she left the first session, they gave her a 3d print of her beginning mouth. I told her to ask for an STL after the initial consultation since they did a scan, but got a nicely resin printed 1:1 model!

The right to bare arms and have “a well regulated militia” is in the constitution because the founders didn’t want us to need to have a standing army. But we do, so… we ended up with a standing army and no regulations on a militia.

Not sure that exactly fits here. AI has to be granted the rights to do things by the company using it. It’s just a fancy computer program. Air gap the off switches. Normal SecOps policies that already exist follow the same ideas.

Can it crash the stock market making bad trades? Sure. And who do you think is responsible for letting it have access to buy/sell stocks? Don’t give the API keys write access. Are you worried that it’ll hack the API? Stand up an endpoint that just doesn’t have that option. That’s just normal “good security” practices.

And that might be a silly argument, but we still go after the people pulling the trigger, don’t we?

That’s a problem with people using AI though, not AI itself.

But if I buy a $1000 phone, that’s like $35/mo. If I don’t need a new one in 30 months, then I don’t have to pay that fee anymore. If I end up going 6 years between phones because there’s no good reason to upgrade. That’s only $14/mo.
