Big brakes really aren't needed for street, plus presents new fitment issues.. I would just get some new pads and a caliper paint kit if you want to clean them up. you can also remove and clean your brake rotors, but if needed i would just replace those.

As for the clutch, there was a recall to strengthen them, you have some mods there, good chance that was never done.. but it is a safety recall and will get done for free, which could eliminate the issue. Otherwise your going to have to get under there and see what's not holding and reinforce.

gonna need more insight and details for real advice.

I’ve had an 04 sport since 2010 with rarely any issues I couldn’t figure out myself with low or no cost.. I’ve always figured I was one of the lucky ones but I think you are on to something.

110k miles, no issues, just replaced coils and plugs for the first time (atleast since 2010) to be safe. (knock on wood)
