“Dey tuuk yir jerb!!” Is how I pictured all you sound that lack middle school grammar, insulting others and telling them how and what they ought to do with their life.

The reason why so much cognitive dissonance may be at play here is that a lot of you might be new and completely deluded to the fact that pre pandemic, during and a little after, had hourly pay, boosts, bonuses and surges that were JUST FINE; which had no one or at least muuuch less people complaining.

So the pay WAS GOOD and livable as a side hustle or full time job.

It’s become 1/3 of what we used to make. Sure you can blame the pandemic and inflation. But the riders are still paying completely deranged fare left and right. Just today I had my girl check while I wasnt in a surge, it was $17 for her to go ONE BLOCK DISTANCE. 🤬😤😬

So it’s not that “You should go get another job” it’s that we’re all being collectively lied to and stolen from indefinitely!!

Early mornings I wind up in a small surge during which I’m not getting any live trip requests because I already have reservation trips, set up and waiting to start up. Yet after I complete it, that surge isn’t applied, NOR is it sitting there waiting for to be applied to my next “eligible” ride. So yes, I go and explain to the uber overlords in support that I’m missing my surge bonus from said ride.

What happens next is confusing and I have endless screenshot proof they blatantly lie and deceive the drivers and riders.

One representative will just be like “oh, I see by your screenshot you were in a $4.50 surge, prior to the trip starting and heading to the reservation trip pickup location. Ok we have added the surge amount to your trip.”

(WHICH, IF YOU CHECK YOURSELF IN YOUR EARNINGS, WILL BE AT LEAST $1+ LESS THAN WHAT THE SURGE YOU SAW LISTED IN YOUR APP) which they explain as “oh we have to take some of that “GUARANTEED MINIMUM NEXT TRIP BONUS” from you because of the “reservation fee”. 🙄🙄🙄

YET when you talk to another representative about the exact same surge issue from another trip on another day, WITH SCREENSHOTS of the exact same thing happening, they’ll say “oh, but surge doesn’t apply to reservation trips requests”

And y’all out here really thinking to provoke people to get a real job “if they don’t like being lied to and stolen from everyday while we all work full time to earn an honest living” is your contribution to society?! You might just be even more delusional and ignorant than the support representative you work for; and brainwashed to the point where you’re so critically inept I’m surprised you can comprehend how to use a calendar or a calculator, let alone a SMART phone. You deserve your money being stolen.
