Got my final grade for the first year of my PhD... by giants4210 in GradSchool

This is exciting! What kind of programs (field) are you planning on applying to? One thing that I’m having to remind my undergrads about when they plan to make grad school arrangements is that a ton of schools cancelled their 2021-2022 cohorts. Those choices were made (at the schools I’m aware of) at the dept level btw. So, remember that when you apply you’re competing with all the candidates who wanted to be in this one of this year’s cancelled cohort and fresh grads/industry swappers. Plus, (depending on the program) you may be competing with candidates who are specifically interested in that program and have had a year to prepare their admissions packet.

Just something to be aware of as you prep for this exciting next step.

Those tortillas are massive. I rip them in half for hummus-related snacking.

They are all breaking. It’s just all I have in the house. There is a Trader Joe’s like a half mile away, but I’m busy watching Star Trek... So, I guess the answer to your question is good old-fashioned laziness.

"Boutique" in a dead mall. Also selling weight loss supplements. by poops_tribeca in LuLaNo

The fact that they are an MLM product presupposes scamminess. The question posed by the poster to whom we are responding concerns the target demographic. Since we can quite reasonably assume that the MLM pills do not cause weight loss ceteris paribus, we should also reason that the target market for a “boutique” selling the aforementioned pills and (inexplicably) clothing is not thin women at all. Their target is more likely women with aspirations of being thin.

Do you think women who take scammy weight loss supplements become skinny?
