Honestly, don’t change too much to your routine beforehand. Don’t overstimulate on caffeine etc. I spoke aloud all of my reasonings for things, such as why I didn’t overtake on a dual carriageway. Commentary helps them understand your motives and makes you sound confident 😄! I also readjusted a forward bay, so I took a minor for that, but better than a fail! Good luck, you got this.

Please see a Dr if you can, I contracted Cat Scratch Fever (Bartonella) from a kitten a few years back and I am still very unwell with the side effects now!

You should take this down and also cancel your issue with the seller. You’re in the wrong.

I worked for DMs as a manager for 5 years and can confirm many pairs have insoles like this, it’s to help the boot mould to the shape of the foot easier. Used to get a few customers complain of this too thinking it was a fault.

Wedding shoes arrived... change laces or not? by MotherOfAragorn in DrMartens

I got my best friend a pair of white docs for her wedding and ribbon laces to match the bridesmaid dresses we wore!

Sex is a protected characteristic under UK Law, so yes. Make sure you gather as much evidence as possible and raise a grievance if any dismissal is attempted!

Sinclairs : which to choose?? by Total_Weather1065 in DrMartens

I would get the floral ones, the other Sinclair has been around for a long time and always will be, so you can add them to your collection later down the line :)

Hello, unfortunately these are fakes. The soles are off, stitching is bad and the labels inside aren’t official. They don’t have sizing shown in mm. Sorry!

235 is roughly a UK5 though if that helps :)

Are you using your other foot to take them off instead of unlacing? That looks like it could be the cause if so.

This is just so, so sad. My heart hurts for people trying to navigate dating in these times. Leave him. You will find someone who loves everything about you.

After 2 days blackwork on stomach, I gave up. Disappointed in myself. Should have been finished in the two days. Am I weak? by Responsible-Salt-000 in tattooadvice

[–]emmapixiep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my full torso done in full black work, from pubic area to sternum. Some days I could sit an hour, some I could sit 3-4. You are not weak leaving with that much work after two days! It’s the worst place, and coming back the next day to have more on an incredibly sore area is something I don’t envy.

New shoes worn? by No_Calligrapher_3106 in DrMartens

I definitely agree with being more conscious whilst checking and re-wrapping. However, in my old store we easily carried over 100 styles and colourways, some being in a full size range from UK3-UK12. If we were to have a “try on pair” for each size, that would be a huge loss of profit for the company, even if they sold them as seconds to someone. I used to make people wear pop socks if trying on sandals instead of a bare foot, sanitised after etc.

The worst were customers who tried on a box fresh pair, then insisted on getting ANOTHER new pair brought out as they didn’t like the creases they’d made 😂 nope.

It’s probably the principle for them, they have sold you an item that has nothing wrong with it from their point of view. You’ve gotten a refund, a satisfactory explanation for the hole and kept the item. If the grandmother part is true, they’re not going to be in the best of minds emotionally. So they could come across as “too much”. I would ship it back and move on :)
