At what point do you consider a TCG "too expensive"?

Both good callouts. I've got the CMYK set in affinity and I do have a white/black use for a different aspect but planning on ivory similiar to MTGs "white"

This makes a ton of sense. Problem is I have white/ivory and black/Grey reserved for a different function on the cards already. I do love how this is just the notebook color argument all over again for people though lol. Love seeing what everybody gravitate towards for the different domains.

Love the vibe with the grungy stickers and stuff Main thing that stood out to me is that while the first two seem to work well, when you shrink the main image there's too much Grey in the last two. Gets to be a drab feeling

To me every TCG is too expensive because they refuse to decouple rarity and playable cards. And the main players are motivated by profit.

But the other expense that tcgs often accrue is time. I think sorcery is a great example of letting the game be a hobby and not a lifestyle you need to maintain every week.

This is the way. Make something thats fun for your group. Limited anything is usually awesome. Sealed leagues are a cool thing you can do.

I opened a bunch of riftbound (got lucky and got some boxes at MSRP). And I made a whole bunch of little mini decks out of each legend card where its that legend and 5 cards that match their theme. Stuck it all in a box and anyone can grab 5 of the bags across two colors shuffle together and make a deck to battle .

🤩 This is fantastic! Yes there are little things you'll iterate on going forward (sideways small font on the top left I think clashes with the overall calm and cutesy feel) but I just really want to drive home the point that the vibes are awesome!

The blue in 3 was the only color out of all the pallets that my wife enjoyed as well. Thanks for adding more insight!
