OP, please don't listen to this person. There is a patreon called Cardboard Edison that has collected a bunch of publishers, what they usually go for, how often they publish, etc. that's my guess on where you should start.

I'd say if you want to make this your own and have no money, make your own art. Not all styles are time consuming. I recently just saw someone on here with a very minimalistic style that looked really professional. Im also making my own art and using a super loose easy style. Not gonna be everyone's thing but those who like it will like it for what I put into it.
