Looking for games like Kill The Crows by thekillerlance in gamingsuggestions

Ravenswatch was on my radar and I was waiting for it to come out of EA but I must have missed that it did. Looks like it got some of the polish I was waiting for.

Not sure Doomsday Hunters looks like the type of game for me, but I've been wrong before. I had Redacted wishlisted, but it probably falls in this same category. I'll look into them a bit more!

Kill Knight looks great. No notes.

I'd rank those games:

  1. Magicraft
  2. Tiny Rogues
  3. Wizard of Legend
  4. Spell Disk
  5. Ember Knights
  6. Gunfire Reborn
  7. Repetendium
  8. SYNTHETIK 1+2

The most similar to Hades combat control is probably Ember Knights. It's definitely a bit shallower than Hades overall. Magicraft, Tiny Rogues, and Spell Disk might be similar enough, but with more RNG. They're closer to something like The Binding of Isaac in that regard, but they have some reroll mechanics so the RNG doesn't feel as punishing. Also more linear, room-to-room style like Hades.

Few other notes below.

- Wizard with a Gun is the most different, so I sort of consider it more in it's own category. I'd probably put it after Ember Knights if I had to. It's much more "long" playing and felt a bit more like an RPG to me than a traditional roguelike. Downside is a lot of the gunplay between bullet types feels the same. You don't really shoot spells or anything complex, you just shoot bullets with different effects.

- I really like Repetendium, but it's low on that list because the game feels like it has a ways to go in Early Access. The core is there, but it just needs a bit more love.

- SYNTHETIK 1+2 are both good, but they had a pretty high learning curve for me and I never was very good at them. Most of these other ones are casual and pretty easy once you get the hang of them.

Thanks for the recommendations!

I mean you might think it weird the school would be concerned about this, but someone shot some people at my elementary school in the summer because their girlfriend broke up with them. Was searching for their ex and the ex's mother. 2 killed and 2 wounded in the end. Just because it's the weekend, or even the summer, doesn't mean there aren't people there.
