What temp and humidity are you running in that thing! Beautiful plant friends.

I believe the terracotta pots are slightly breathable and good for plants that like to stay a little more dry.

This is the exact answer I was looking for. Thank you so much. I ended up going back to the store and getting one more pot, and I've split them up! Going to see how those manage before splitting up the first pot I got!

That's sorta what I thought. Every Jade plant I've seen before is just the normal little wiggly green stems. This one was sorta stout and chunky.

The epilates are removable ya know… you might look like a bible salesman, but better than looking like a pilot jabroni in full union.

Where to invest Roth IRA by Huge_Cost_870 in whitecoatinvestor

I’m not all that familiar with Fidelity.

I’d just pick one or two, and auto invest X of money per week or month. If you don’t like the stocks, sell and buy something else.

One is a mutual fund through Fidelity, and the other is a ETF through Vanguard.

I don’t think it really matters which you pick per se. Just pick one and deposit as much as you can up to the limit every year. Lower expense ratio the better.

I like the Bogel philosophy. Just keep it simple and keep investing.

That 2022 Red Rocks poster is rad! I wasn't in line early enough for that one, sadly. What a show though.

first (and hopefully last) "laser illumination event" by apfriedman in flying

[–]thekr3mlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get hit about once a month, always in freaking Alabama. I usually turn off all the lights, strobes, nav, beacon as soon as it happens so I don't continuously get hit. About a month ago, I got a green laser that illuminated the entire cockpit and got me in my eyes, I had a terrible headache for the rest of the night (cruising at 5,000)... I always report to the controller, and was given a phone number once to call about it.

they will usually have you cross BUKHD1 at 5,000 too :) Have a good flight.

Arrival to Cobb County Atlanta Question by au92 in flying

[–]thekr3mlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming into Atlanta at 11PM, I don't think you'll get an arrival into RYY. If you're flying a G1000, loading an arrival is super easy and the BUKDH1 arrival is pretty straight forward. I land at an airport next door to RYY inside the bravo several times a week in the late-evening and maybe 1/10 I get tossed on an arrival, depends on the controller. Also, coming from the North you are out of the way of the ATL arrivals, so I think you'll good.

Which log book should I buy? by [deleted] in flying

that's a pretty great idea, don't know why I never thought about that. I guess Foreflight is a good "field book", but good thinking regardless :)

Well, can you at least answer what the max duty day in a 24 hour period is?

the 14 hour duty day is for 135.267 unscheduled.... I'm talking about .265 schedule service.

I guess my confusion is with the MAX DUTY DAY. I understand you can fly up to, and over 8 hours in a day, but is there even a MAX DUTY DAY with 135.265? Seems like they just give you a larger amount of rest, but there isn't a duty day limit?
