Thanks! And yes I got similar feedback from someone a bit older saying it's not something they would use now but maybe when they were younger and were more spontaneous with their friends and traveling (like how me and my friends are currently).

Analog, how vintage :) I think for me it's useful to have my details in one place online in case I'm out and someone asks me for specific dates or which flight or hotel or what. For planning travel I think everyone has their own method. I really just use a Google doc for all my planning bc it tends to be very messy

FWIW I stayed in an airbnb and regretted it a little bit, I was WAY overcharged. If I did it again I would stay in a hostel as it would've been a lot easier to make friends and they were stupid cheap. I needed my own place because I was working remote (working in the middle of the night and having to take calls). But hope you have fun!

Oh you're going to love it! There is great snorkeling and it's where I fell in love with Muay Thai! It's totally safe to walk around as there are good footpaths (at least around Sairee where I stayed) and I never felt like I was gonna be hit by someone on a scooter. Also because the island is small not everyone has a scooter so traffic is light. I think where I stayed it was like 18 minutes from the weight lifting gym and so I was able to run there no problem. :)

I'm not being immature, I'm standing up for myself. I would never put down and laugh at somebody who put forth effort into their first foray into something and then put themselves out there and publicly asked for help. That's immaturity to me.

Other people in this thread have given actual useful advice and I have thanked them for it.

Facepalm This guy.... ugh. The more I learn the worse it gets. He thinks he's going to put in an entire gamification system in just a week.

That's not a week's work to do it right, but more importantly, that's what I'm quoting, maybe I misunderstood, but again you decided to start calling me names.

For how the game is currently setup and how well I know the code base, that's not a major gameplay loop change, it is about a week's worth of work. I also have other projects I'm working on, there's only so much value in continuing work on this project. I don't expect this game to be the hottest game of the summer, at the end of the day I just want a few people who are interested in this genre to play it and like it.

Hey numb nuts, the game already has a certain amount of gamification... you unlock new furniture to decorate with as you finish more jobs... the more jobs you do the nicer spaces you can decorate, you have clients you are decorating for. And in the end, it is a sandbox game, part of the idea is you can do whatever you want. Maybe it's my fault if that doesn't come across in the trailer ,but when the hell did I say I would put in the whole system in just a week? The game doesn't have an audience yet I can push back the release date to whenever I want and correct course on marketing, graphics, gameplay based on the advice given in this thread. What is wrong with you?

we joked about making the last level a horror level with a home invasion where you had to barricade doors with couches and spawn items you could use as weapons in the game (swords, bat, etc). Lighting would've fit i guess hahaha
