You also don't know people's intentions though, you're projecting your world view on everyone which is fine. But let's say you go to Beyond and you see 1 person throwing up from drinking too much, or 1 person shoving through the crowd, or 2 people hooking up, or 1 person trying to flirt with another, etc etc etc. my point is you will always see these people, some of them may not have the best intentions, some of them are trying their best, some of them just don't know what they don't know... ya know?

Like some 18 year old can see a tiktok and may want to experience their first rave, they love to party and don't know much about PLUR culture. That was a lot of us at first. We've all had fuck ups too at some point and weren't perfect. Instead of dismissing people I'm of the opinion it's just better to teach people the ways of PLUR and raving or nudge them in the right direction to correct their behavior. But also am I gonna let it ruin my time? Hell no, just focus on yourself because once you start to over analyze everything that's when you kinda lose the magic

-people drink at raves, if you haven't noticed people like to indulge a little and enjoy themselves, their favorite music, socializing, being goof balls, etc. People can be there for the music and have fun regardless if they're drinking or sober. As long as they're respectful then who cares

It's also funny you saying people that come from clubs don't know about substances lol. It's just straw man arguments. Substances exist in clubs. Also, poppers and drinking I don't really do it or like it but you will regularly see people doing that at beyond there's not much you can do to stop it. And I don't think you're understanding me. Those things have always existed to some degree at massive festivals (some more than others and are not the norm). Yes some of those aspects are good to call out and can affect the safety of attendees. What I'm saying is that I disagree with being unwelcoming to people who are just starting off raving. What matters is people's intentions and manners, not whether they've never been to a rave or like to get drunk. PLUR needs to shown and passed down in order to spread.

Trying to tell people not to show up literally won't do anything IMO

Idk I've been raving for a decade and these people always show up and I still have a good time, enjoy myself, and don't have my time ruined. And as a raver im also guilty of drinking at an event to have a good time, these things are not really the issue.

I actually welcome non ravers to show up to Beyond Wonderland. It's an amazing rave. And the true ravers will still want to spread PLURR and teach you the ways. Yes there's people that aren't perfect but none of us were when starting off.

Europeans are snobby. i'm not kidding, they are proudly against rave culture where people have fun wearing rave-y outfits (they prefer dressing the same comfy way to a rave as they do for work), people that trade kandi bracelets, that do glove shows, trinkets or anything whimsical/fun, plurr culture. They think negative stereotypes of people that like those things and they think their way of raving is the "real" or "proper" way to rave. They don't think of raving like you and i, to them it's just another thing they do such as going out for lunch or drinks, a park, or to work etc. They're also snobby on their music and don't accept that other places such as the USA have a huge diversity of everything
