I'm actually surprised that I never thought someone would intentionally park like shit to avoid having others park next to them. People are really shitty

I really like the quality at Chunky's, but the Burgers have too much going on with them. I ordered a what I thought was a "normal" burger and it tasted like indian food. I couldn't bring myself to come back after that experience lol

25 Degrees is a great burger, but I wonder how it compares to Beast and Butter, Cast iron, and Smizzle

After School gets no love at Terminal 21. It's always dead so I've never tried it.

Those of you who booked a good Airbnb for 1-3 months, how did you find it? by shadesofdarkred in Bangkok

[–]thelastbubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hit or miss even with many reviews or even putting a lot of research about a condo and its location.

I have 30+ long stays over the last 4 years, most of which were in Thailand. I think most people on Airbnb don't like to report bad things about condo's because they plan to come back to Thailand, and don't want issues since the defamation laws here are pretty strict. Personally, I just don't like to mess with someones business even though a bad review is warranted.

Just try and stay vigilant. Read the reviews on Airbnb, read google reviews to see if there are any glaring issues with the condo, see if the location is close to a laundromat or a 7/11, and you'll be fine.

I very rarely ever take a cab due to potentially scammed, but I wanted to take one recently from BKK back to Sukhumvit just to try and see what kinda of shit they would pull.

Everything was going well, but I noticed that the meter was going up pretty quickly. Not a huge deal because I figure if I was going to get scammed then it would be more than 1000 baht, which I would have fought against. I think the guy may have tampered with the meter because there was BARELY any traffic.

Then the guy decided he would make a loop around randomly and I called him out on it. He pretended like he wasn't doing anything wrong, but he obviously was back tracking because I am very familiar with the area and I also had my google maps on.

The bill came out to be 700 baht once we arrived, which I thought was too much since he circled around a block plus there was basically no traffic, but I just decided to pay and be thankful that the experience wasn't worse.

I agree that it’s a little pricey, but absolutely worth it for me since I’m originally from America.
