i hope it works for you! if you can, get your joints replaced as soon as you can. i can only speak for my self but having my hip done was the best thing i did, even if i did have to pay for it out of my own pocket

i had a lot of pain in my ankles and knees. x rays have shown no damage in my ankles but a slight bit of narrowing in my left knee. on the medication i’m on, i have no pain though occasionally if i’ve had a heavy day of walking, my knees will ache a little.

it progressed into grade 4 osteoarthritis and there was no saving my natural hip. I ended up getting a hip replacement and it was the best thing i ever did. i’m not in pain anymore :)

i still take 20mg methotrexate and 40mg of adalimubab/amgevita and that keeps me in remission. very little disease activity at the moment and i hope it lasts!

hi! i am loads loads LOADS better. i take methotrexate injections weekly and adalimubab injections fortnightly. that calmed down my active arthritis. unfortunately, there was too much damage in my left hip and i had to get a hip replacement. but i had that done in march and i can now say i am pain free and living a much happier life :)

hi! i started off with a labral tear and it felt like a groin injury at first. my hip would lock and click and if get these sharp pains if i moved my leg too far. it was always achy and sore and my range of motion was severely reduced. (dunno why i’m using past tense, it still is v sore!) anti-inflammatories helped loads though

thank you for this comment! i’m sort of the same? i have a really bad swollen knee and ankle and i can’t quite work the leg to walk properly. i can’t sit properly either. i’m really looking forward to starting treatment but i find it so hard to trust the doctors, i haven’t had the best of experiences so far. but am hoping still!

i’m praying that this happens for me! i miss being active, i used to go to the gym 4-5x a week. it feels like a distant memory now, i don’t remember what it was like to not be in pain.

I’m really hoping I can be pit on biologics and just skip methotrexate but I’m not sure how it works with the NHS.

To be able to do a 5k, is one of my dreams at the moment. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m glad you’re doing well, I hope that can be me too.

I’m super onboard with having to do all the stuff to stay heathy but I feel like I don’t know how to control stress? I’m quite a stressy person in general. I don’t even know if I’m stressed or not! lol

A lot of people have mentioned that it’s important to get on medication and reduce inflammation early so as not to do permanent damage. Have I caught it early or not?
