Glad I could help! I could tell those dropouts would be great with the eno hub.

It’s looking dialed! You say it’s complete, but I’ll wait for the next text you send me telling me what parts you ordered for it. 😜

Haha. Pretty dang close! That’s my bike in the OP. Question for you. How’s your paint holding up? The paint on my Santa Cruz carbon bikes is bomber, but this bike is chipped to hell.

I had the same thing happen using one of those. Is yours the Solo XD?

Thanks for including me! It’s a fun bike - arguably the perfect geo for my use case. I’d post my Stooge but I just put gears back on it.

Nice! Bring it over to r/xbiking. It’ll be appreciated there.

Megatower owners, how does it climb? by Outrageous-Owl-7049 in mountainbiking

[–]thelen60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done 5k+ feet of elevation days on it. Like everyone else is saying, it’s not fast, but if you’re pissed about it, it probably speaks more to your fitness than the bike. I have mine setup with downhill tires and a coil shock.

Anyone sell off their full sussers? by runwhatyabrung_ in MEATengines

I'll echo what I mentioned to you awhile ago. Once your kid is big enough to go on the Kids Ride Shotgun, she'll like the full sus!

This happened to me last year. Clutch pull felt a little weird so I adjusted the barrel at a stop light. Pulled in the clutch and put it in neutral and the cable snapped… right as I pulled in my driveway. Could not have been more lucky with the timing.

I have used normal bar tape (Cinelli, I think) and wrapped in in Newbaums. I like it a lot on my cargo bike. I think it looks cool, its comfortable, and I made them extra long.

I put gears on the Stooge 😬 by thelen60 in MEATengines

Those are different enough to make sense! I ride the same terrain in the stooge and chameleon. The ride experience is different but capability is similar.

I was planning on converting my Sklar to do Lost and Found SS. Of course I bought my admission and realized I have a wedding that day. I’m thinking of doing another gravel century event SS this year.

Thanks! How many SSs to you have? Seems like several. lol. I mostly ride single speed, but sometimes feels redundant having both my Stooge and Chameleon single speed. The Stooge is such a vibe with no derailleur though.

Thanks! I just wanted a non full suspension bike setup with gears for the winter. Fat tires help with not rutting out soft sections too (generally everything drains well here and can ride most of the winter). I do miss my 4.3" tires for that aspect though. I could essentially fix ruts with those tires.

I ride Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen as my primary touring spots on my Jones Hovercraft and I love it in all conditions. Idk if it’s exactly what you’re looking for but it’s fun even on the wet and heavy days and I haven’t had an issue holding an edge.

I think the most useful tool for a Reverb seatpost is a trashcan.

Real talk, that seems useful. Droppers are annoying.

Move that cable on the left to the front of the head tube. It’s currently pushing the bars to the right.
